How do you know they ever went to bed? Could have been a long and very fun night.
Been there, done that, way too old to do it now.
Plus, little campground birds start chirping at the crack of hangover :(
(Campground = on topic.)

the sun crossing the yardarm (why I don't know since no one sailed) which I think is around 11 AM.

:faint: :faint: :faint:

All these years, I've thought the sun crossed the yardarm at 5 pm.

Oh...all those years wasted when I might have been bending the elbow....

BTW, since when on this forum have we been paying attention to the topic???? :floorrollin:

Sun over the yardarm: A traditional maritime saying to indicate that it is time for a morning drink, it was generally assumed that in northern latitudes the sun would show above the foreyard of a ship by 11.00 which was approximately the time in many ships of the forenoon "stand-easy", when many officers would slip below for their first drink of the day.

Yardarm

Well, it's never too late to make up for lost time. 11 AM it apparently is. :)

Edit - this is actually on topic, which really doesn't matter, since we are talking about drinking in Jackie and Greg's new rig when they might still be asleep :) If they sleep past 11!

yeah and Pat is so generous she said we can talk about anything we want on her RV forum as long as it's about drinking. :floorrollin: :floorrollin:

Well, within reason. Like, if you ever drove by a campground sometime, that works. On your way to a bar...

Pat, you've still got it...we were still talking last night at the bar, demanding drinks for Happy Hour and the bartender had gone home :floorrollin: :floorrollin:

Jackie, our first beverage in MH was Merlot. I even opened and poured for guests. It was touch and go ;) . I used my brand new plastic crystal like wine glasses. We were camping afterall...in the driveway.

Great fun,

Kate

Love that plastic crystal. What's your pattern, Kate? I think my current one is Solo.

(I have heard there are purists out there that bring actual crystal. I'll bet you $100 it's not Waterford or Orrefors.)

If I started drinking at 11 am, I would be UNDER the yardarm by two and no good for the rest of the day! :P Good thing I thought it was five, and I think I'll keep it like that!

I'm not sure of pattern . It was a "buy" at Bed, Bath and Beyond :floorrollin:

Uh, oh...Chrissy you wouldn't risk crystal on this crowd at rally would you

Ugh those Dixie Cups with ice cream had those nasty wooden sticks for spoons. Say ahhhh :nono:
