Jackie,
Glad it's home safe and sound and clearly in good working condition! That's great. Now you can start packing it :)
When is the shakedown cruise?

I replied on msg board but just thought of something.

I bought rolls of heavy plastic carpet covering at Dollar Store. Runners. Wasn't pretty but taped it down with clear like masking tape until I bought some throw rugs and tacked them in place. Takes a while to get past the oh NO there is dirt on the carpet stage.

Kate, we always take our shoes off when we go in anyway......so shouldn't be too bad, but of course than there is Dylan and his 4 paws! :floorrollin: :floorrollin: :floorrollin:

Pat, as soon as the campground up the street opens, should be May 1st. We will stay there until about the 4th or 5th and then mosey slowly on over to NY. I changed our reservations there to arrive on or about the 8th.
Greg, Dylan & Jasper too!

Jackie,
btw, I called Deer Run today and you were right...Marion is at another campground :( Very odd personnel issues over there! Now we have Joyce or Wayne. Oh, well. They both seem very nice too.

It musta been Wayne I spoke with yesterday......did seem very nice. As long as they don't lose all of our reservations, I don't care who handles it! :floorrollin: :floorrollin: :floorrollin: :floorrollin: :floorrollin:

Joyce just arrived - she called up the rally reservations right away - but she's not too sure about campground policy (I called since people had questions about late check out.) It's fine.
Anyway, back to your new house. Everything worked I gather??? No glitches???

Everything was A-OK! We totally expected to find something that needed fixing, but nope! Of course I had emailed them our PDI list about a week before the 5er came in, so I bet they went over it with a fine tooth comb before we got there!

The only fault I could find was that they did not supply a sewer hose or water hose. But they did give us a $100 gift certificate so we could purchase the ones we wanted. Still woulda been nice to have gotten the hoses and had the 100 bucks to spend on something else! Oh well, just being picky! :floorrollin: :floorrollin:

Jackie,

I went over to rv.net, then to webshots. Said hi in the guestbook, then in the rv.net thread. Now, I don't remember you mentioning your dealer over there. But I did .

You can :slap: me if you want to.

Oh yeah, I asked you if you had seen the litter in the basement with a trap door thread over there in Pet Forum. It's active today.

Lynne, I did see that thread...very interesting. Will have to keep that in mind in case we decide to do something like that.

Actually I did mention the dealer in either the rally forum or the full timing forum, don't remember which right now. He said he did a search by the "Campers Inn" name daily, but since the thread that I posted the webshots link didn't have the "Campers Inn" name in it......I think he was following my posts as well. :floorrollin: :floorrollin: :floorrollin: Which is fine, can't really say anything bad about them. Everyone there that we had dealings with were very nice and accomodating. I would definately go there again.

Yes, we have 8 paws to trot things in.

Another idea I had on litter box :deadhorse: . We have a cabinet in bath with a shelf under sink. I have thought if we ever take cat we could put different latches on where hinges are so we could lift door off and put litter box inside on bottom with no door and face it backwards to ward off dogs :P

As I talk about kitty poop, they have elected a Pope :)

Great tip Mur, thanks...I never would have thought of that!

I spent 27 years in the Oil Industry, surrounded by big (I mean BIG) storage tanks FULL of gasoline and Diesel fuel - MILLIONS of Gallons of it.

Just comes natural, I guess - "fire" risks were drilled into us constantly.

Jackie,

The fiver is beautiful. I'm sure you will be very happy in it.
The floor plan looks to be very efficient and the bed/bath look REALY large! It's amazing how much more room you have in the fifth wheel than in a MH.

Another suggestion? Have indoor-only slippers, sandals or something - A Carpet installer once told my that the oils in your feet (even through socks) soils ypur carpet more than anything else, over the long run.

Mur, heard the same things about walking on carpet with nothing on your feet.
Should at least have socks on.
