I bought what I thought was a handy, dandy, cheap, charger vacuum when we first got RV. You get what you pay for, certainly in this case. Junk. Some off brand... Lazer- Vac . Ours in house is great but don't want to drag big Kenmore. I have one of those Bissell sweeper's and like it for quick jobs but can't pick up well in tile area's or deep dirt. Have heard Dirt Devil works well and is light?Looking for some personal recommendations. Thanks, Kate |

We have the Eureka Boss Super Lite. It has a beater bar and does really well. Floor and carpet settings. I use it at home for quick pickups when we are home. Recommendation from others. Have also heard good things about the small Dirt Devil. This has a retractable handle and was about $40 at Target or somewhere like that a year or so ago. It's bright yellow. Which probably means absolutely nothing I also have a hand held Eureka Cobra (some snake) with attachments. Kills your back with bending but crevice tools are good. Eureka Boss has no attachments. Both have wonderful suction and I'd buy them again. |

If you can manage it, I'd highly recommended a central vac. It's the tops for convenience and efficiency. I do sometimes just sweep ours with a broom and dustpan between vacuums. My Mother has a Dirt Devil--her's is really big and heavy. Sylvia |

I don't have a basement to speak of. Very little outside storage, but if I did, I'd try to find a not too expensive central unit. Can't really need much of a hose and I'd bet one outlet would do the trick. Probably easy install. I wonder if I could mount a small unit under the dinette seat where the converter and heater is? Can't really put anything else in there. Wouldn't get to benefit from keeping the dust outside, but at least it would be under the seat. Just rambling. I've never seen one of small physical size. I've got a small recharge one we use while gone, but we're only gone a few days. We haul the house vac out there for more thorough cleaning while at home. |

I need to buy a light weight vacuum for the motorhome and just keep putting if off. Actually I like the one I have, but it's heavy and Frank says it difficult to get out from the storage compartments. |

Give my Eureka a try at Deer Run. As I said, I like it and it does the carpet very nicely. When we get home I always bring my big vacuum out and really clean, but the Eureka is great while on the road. |

OK. Will give the Eureka Super-Lite and Dirt Devil a look see. I do like a nice bright yellow
. If we were fulltiming central vac might be a consideration but for our use giving it a good going over when we get home with Kenmore works. Jackie, you just reminded me we have a hand held Oreck around here someplace that gets tight spots real well. I did not like hose on big Oreck, kept jamming. Thanks, Kate |

Finally bought a new vacuum cleaner for the motorhome today. Lightweight, so I don't have to listen to "you know who" about how heavy the other one I use is. It's a Shark Turbo Stick Vac. Now, maybe I can get "you know who" to put it together tonight. Do I sound crabby? I'm tired.

Chrissy, You have your own "weight police"? Try to remember it's a vacation and you don't have to clean everything every day, it'll make life easier. We sold our earlier motorhome partially to get away from the "dust catchers" and "time sinks" of cleaning. Think "doing things" and "having fun" rather than house work! |

Well, good, Chrissy, and good luck with it. Now I can leave my Eureka home since you don't have to try it at Deer Run, and you can vacuum our motorhome with the new Shark! Kate still needs one... |
