Chrissy, would it help you if I say its not illegal here to smoke it, only to grow it. That way you can leave the handcuffs where they are. But than, on the other hand, were's the fun of smoking it than if it's legal?

I do admit to trying it once ... spent the rest of the evening wrapped around the base of a toilet because it made me sick. I did giggle quite a lot while I was down there, but it isn't something I'd want to repeat. It was a really spacey experience--felt disconnected to my brain and the laughter that was coming from my mouth! And no I didn't have anything to drink with it--the reaction was solely to some puffs of the marijuana cigarette. Well, maybe there were quite a few puffs! I'll pass on that one Kees, legal or not. Ok Cornelius, I'll let you know when I visit the Netherlands and we can puff til the cows come home.
Sylvia, I would have liked to have been a fly on the wall when you were hugging the toilet.

Haydn wasn't home that night, he was off on a rally. It was one of his employees that came over to the house. He and his girlfriend and another couple came over complete with marijuana and hash hish. The time period was the mid 1960's. I didn't inhale any of the hash--they all looked soo stupid passing a thing on a pin to each other and sniffing it, but I did take several drags of the cigarette. It was one of the most ridiculous evenings I ever spent. I did tell Haydn about it upon his return the following morning. He was very surprised that I participated at all! At that time, I could only have one drink of liquor that immediately went into my bloodstream and made the world fuzzy. I've now built up a bit of tolerance for those chemicals, thank goodness. Being in a fog has never been my thing--there are too many natural highs in life to substitute drug-induced ones, especially considering that they are also illegal. People really do the dardest things to themselves. Chrissy, Me hugging the toilet was not a pretty sight!!! Sylvia |

This has turned into a funny thread. At this time in my life I wouldn't try anything illegal, but it's fun to talk about it.     I'll just drink my "clamdiggers" and be happy. |

Little Kopit, thanks for posting the Canadian flower pictures, mighty interesting that your province is the only one that has a " carnivoirous " flower representing it!

Kind of looks like Oklahoma's state rock:![]() ![]() Rose Rock Barite rose. Rocks resembling full-grown roses were formed by barite rock crystals during the Permian Age and are found in a few rare places around the globe. In Oklahoma, the distinctive red soil colors them in hues ranging from reddish brown to cinnamon. An old Cherokee legend says the rocks represent the blood of the braves and the tears of the maidens who made the devastating "Trail of Tears" journey in the 1800s to Oklahoma. |

Jo, That is really pretty. It never occurred to me that states would have state rocks: ![]() "The Rose Rock Within the Garber sandstone, A barite crystal grew, The Oklahoma sand Gave it a reddish hue. Seawater bathed it; and, As a flower grows, God formed its shape Into a lovely rose. Nancy Ann Stine" Sylvia |
