Windows And Window Cleaning; tilt in and clean them in the house?

Do people with tilt in windows clean them inside the house?

Doesn't that make a mess in the floor?

I've been thinking of getting some, but really wonder whether that feature is used.

Currently I have el cheapos with storms. Given the hassle, we just don't clean the windows on the outside. Do people really take advantage of the tilt in and clean feature?

The house we just sold had the tilt in windows....absolutely loved them. Cleaned them from inside the house.

Not sure how you clean your windows if you have such a mess. :floorrollin: :floorrollin: Just spray with window cleaner and wipe. :poke: :floorrollin:

I don't know what it is about my Mom, but all cleaning starts with a bucket of HOT soapy water, just as HOT as one can stand it. We're talking safety features defeated on the hot water tank here.

Then a second cleaning with vinager water. Hot as usual.

For tall windows, scalding hot soapy water runs down my arms and melts my armpit hairs.

For a woman that grew up living in a tent and wearing a leash as a child, she sure is particular how she cleans her house.

Wow, that sounds painful, but I guess that would get them clean! :floorrollin: :floorrollin:

If that is your method of choice, I suggest lots of towels on the floor and some very thick rubber gloves right up to the pits...don't want any more melted hair. :floorrollin: :floorrollin:

Oh now I see, I got them tilt in windows and when I clean them it makes a big mess.
I guess I should not use the 3650psi pressure washer on the inside of the window.duh

We have tilt in windows (that I love) and Windex. I clean them inside. No mess.

I hope your mother never reads this forum! But I'm sure her sense of humor is as good as her son's. :floorrollin: :floorrollin:

We need to get something straight here.

I ain't doin' no cleanin'.

Unless of course I follow Cajun's lead and hit things with a high powered hose. That means I get to buy a new 5 horse gas powered pressure washer on wheels. Those things are heavy.
