Yes, Home Shows are great. We got Ginzu ? steak knives at one years ago and they are still going strong and sharp too. Love all those demonstrations.

Have a lot of fun,

Kate

I've always told me wife (half-jokingly) that she's not ALLOWED to go to home-shows - I can't afford it.

So far she has gone along with it. ;)

Why do I have a feeling Red Deer will never be the same??? :faint:

Oh, and if you see Jim Caruk, tell him something for me, will ya? His HAIR P's me right off!!!

Hope you have a great time at the home show. I haven't been to one in years. Used to go to the one at the Ex in Toronto every year with my mom and my dad also said they made him go broke!

I don't care for Jim Caruk - he's so arogant. Love his sidekick Neil though. I prefer Holmes on Homes. He actually does work where Jim just goes around trying to be cool.

Wish I'd have gone to a home show before I decided to build. I'd have gotten so many more ideas than what the builders here presented me with.

The Home Shows they have in my area are people selling thier services.....I'd prefer a show that demonstrates and sells product, I'm a Do-it Yourself Homeowner and have done pretty much everything. I've learned from my family, got a Brother and Nephew who are both Engineers and the Nephew is starting a Real Estate Developing Co., my Brother has built his own home.....BIL who is a Master Plumber and another who is a Master Electrician.....I can get hold of pretty much any type of Machine needed to get a job done.

Well, Pentax I got to meet Jim  as he stopped by the booth. I tell ya the pic in the booklet did him no justice. WOW, he was nice  Plus he does have a NICE head of hair ;) Now as for the other guy Neil, he is a tiny man with very tight curley hair. Got to see Cheryll Gillespie, but only thing that stood out about her were her knee high white gogo boots. :dunno:

The show was very busy, and both my co-worker and I did well. Sure acke from standing on cement for 5 hour stretches though. Drive was good, very windy but all was well.

Wolfie, Did you get any ideas for your home? Especially after all of that standing on cement?
