My wife gets home from work 7pm so I cook up something easy like last night (Friday) bbq'd pork spare ribs and some boiled vegies which is about the limit of my cooking skills. JRF, it must be the same the world over, every thing here comes from some place else too, no wonder our balance of trade is so lop sided, hard to find anything that is'nt made in China. PD |

I love bbq'd pork spare ribs! We bought tickets to a Fish Fry tonight at a fraternity, but all the fish is breaded. (Day 14 for us) Oh well. $ went to a great cause...a theatrical production on campus. So, we're having bacon wrapped hamburgers tonight and tomatoes. |

If you are on a low-fat, or fat free diet, then that might be an issue. If you are on low carb, it's perfect. |

I'm on a Lynne diet. Everything has it's merits. So what would you say to me, if I make the veg. a potato? Would you envy me? ![]() You know, maybe you should start a breakfast thread. Then we could go on about Fiber#1 from General Mills vs. Fiber First from President's Choice.......

Not so sure about those "limited cooking skills." Sounds like you are a great cook!

You had to say BBQ And you had to say pork and you had to say ribs. Come on people be kind! Wife hid the grocery ads from me. They must have a brisket in there or something. I've ruined too many she won't let me try another. But RIB's, now we're talkin'. And we just got a new can of Hungarian Paprika to add on the boot. I'm gonna look for a good pork loin or some thick chops plus some ribs and toss on the smoker. Now the decision is, gather wood and feed the wood burner? and stoke it all day? or turn on the gas and add a few wood chips now and then? Hmmmm? Decisions. If I time it right, wife will be surprised with hot ribs for her breakfast when she gets home from work. Not tonight! I've got 3 days off. I shop tomorrow. |
