Chris...I just found this. It's the latest Canon 350D Rebel.

Canon 350D Rebel

I'm spitting chips because I like the fact that it has 8MPs and also has a smaller body making it lighter and more compact than the one that Jackie and I have.

It's like spending months researching a new computer then finally buying one only to have a new one come out 2 months after you've bought.

Oh well......who can keep up with technology these days anyway.

Oh....and it's also cheaper than the 300D Rebel which Jackie and I bought.

I don't know if you'll find it in the stores yet but it's worth looking into.

Canon doesn't even list.

Walmart in Fort Worth has 300D kit for only $800.

First I've heard of it Chris. I usually stop shopping after I've bought something. I was going to write a review about my 300D then I found that new one out.

I'm heartbroken. Posted Image I'd love to have that one instead.

Yes do go check it out and let me know if it comes with lens and bag, battery etc.

Does Wally World sell the kit with the lens? Have you found the new one (350D) for sale anywhere and if so how much?

Well Chris if it was me buying I would wait until I could find the 350D but that's because I like the 8MP's cause Ido a lot of printing. I also like the fact that it's more compact in size and weight.....AND cheaper. Seems like a no brainer to me.

If you don't intend to use Photoshop to enhance the photos you take and print much then I'm still very happy with the 300D.

Let me know how you go. Will watch this thread for any new developments.

What you call nifty is breaking my heart.

It's like walking out of the store with last months computer and the new one comes out tomorrow but nobody told me.

Good idea Lynne,

I'll post more photos taken with the 300D Rebel then everyone will say ooh and ahh and it'll boost my ego again then I won't feel so bad about having the older camera. :floorrollin:

You see Annie, ignorance is bliss!!! :P Other than the fact that you mentioned "cheaper", I wouldn't know that it was any different! :floorrollin:

Still happy with the one I have.

I think 6.3 mp is plenty for what I need to do!
