I remember the time we were at a campground in New York, I had the vacuum cleaner going and my son had the blow dryer going. Boy was Frank mad. Everything went. :o

Well, our Northeast Ralliers look like wimps!
W/E/S/C all for $20 a night - come early, stay late, same rate. I guess we like to blow fuses a lot :)

We blow a fuse when my husband cuts what little hair he has left. He uses some kind of electric clippers, and if we don't turn everything else off - there goes a curcuit breaker. Other things work in tandem just perfectly, but these clippers are killers.

Last night we reserved #39 at Gentry.

I just talked to the COE at Lake Eufaula. There are only 2 water "hydrants" at Gentry Creek. No individual water hook-ups at all, or even hook-ups to share between 2 campers.

They suggest Belle Star nearby, which if you bring a T, you share the water with another camper. They also said the lake water is clearer at Belle Star.

It doesn't matter to us, as we are boondockers.

We've got a 40 gallon fresh water tank, there are showers and restrooms right nearby, wife unit will have to rough it.

Costs $10 to cancel!!! Though I could argue they advertise water when there is none.

The COE lady I talked to this morning stated that was false advertising. I asked her if we would lose the deposit if we cancelled, and she took my number for the ranger to call me Monday. (She was empathetic and wants to do whatever they (COE or ranger) can to help us, should we cancel and want the deposit back.)

Personally, I'm OK with Gentry. We carry water on board, and are fine with campground showers. Actually, a campground with a shower is a luxury to us, especially if the shower doesn't cost extra!!

Tell the COE lady we'd like fresh towels in the shower every morning. hehe

This will be fine. Let's wait for Joel to see.

See map a couple posts back. Only potential negative is no water hookups.

Other areas that offer full hook ups are pretty well booked. Generty will be soon.

If we need to do another weekend, I'm good with that.

I see the boat launch ramps but I also need 500ft of straight road for a strip for the ultralite. Water, electricity and sewer I can do without, but not my toys.

Small price to pay for beauty. Where have I heard that before?

Electricity might be relatively cheap, but condoms are a lot cheaper than a college education.

Im in for 35 no AC on Saturday. Guess I'll bring my own AC.

Vrrrooom Vrrrrom Vrrrooom.
