Just in from one vacationing in Puerto Rico CHILD BIRTH LOL LOL. THIS IS TOO CUTE. Should children witness child birth? Due to a power outage, only one paramedic responded to the call. The house was very, very dark, so the paramedic asked Kathleen, a 3-year-old girl, to hold a flashlight high over her Mommy so he could see while he helped deliver the baby. Very diligently, Kathleen did as she was asked. Heidi pushed and pushed, and after a little while Connor was born. The paramedic lifted him by his little feet and spanked him on his bottom. Connor began to cry. The paramedic then thanked Kathleen for her help and asked the wide-eyed 3-year old what she thought about what she had just witnessed. Kathleen quickly responded, "He shouldn't have crawled in there in the first place......... smack his butt again.

Rolling On The Floor Laughing My A** Off....ROFLMAO... Very funny little story. Cute. But I cannot resist this: since I thought this was a serious question and I was all hot to answer it: no, I do not think childbirth is something a small child should witness. Let them grow up a little first. I see whole families in the birthing room (on the Discovery Health Channel) and the little ones look scared and quiet; I have no doubt it is a trauma to see their mother like that. What purpose does it serve? |

That reminds me of when Boudreau's wife was having a baby. It was time to have the baby, and they called Thibodeaux to come help. Well it was dark and thib. said Boudreau get a light so we can see what we are doing. As bou. held the light here come the baby, and he was happy. Then Thib. says (bou I think theres another one there! Then here come the second, and bou said mais sha thats something! Just then Thibodeaux said guess what Boudreau, I think theres one more coming out, What you think about that? That's when Boudreau said I think its the light thats attracting them, Thib!!

Danny, Then there's the true story of a lady 7.5 months pregnant who went to a camp from by taking a small boat upriver from Chapleau, Ontario.* She had talked to her doctor, who said ok, you've got the radio. If you feel any discomfort, just contact me. Well, it turned out the doctor's diagnosis was 1 month off. In about two weeks she radioed the doctor to say: " I think I'm in labour". The doctor got the float plane, went out to the camp to pick her up and take her to the community hospital. But as they were about to land on the lake beside Chapleau, the doctor shouted to the pilot: "Hold on, the baby's coming." Ok, so the pilot circled a few times. When he heard the baby cry, he started to descend. "Hold on, the doctor called, there's another one". Days before ultra sound. I was told this story while in Chapleau for my work in the mid 70s. *Ok now, to get a map Ontario Map Do you see Lake Superior (the big one to the westward). Right beside it, find Wawa. Chapleau is about 80 miles east of that, if I remember rightly. It's a good day's drive from Sudbury to Wawa, but just around 5 hours to Chapleau, I think. I used to count the # of cars I'd meet on some stretches of the road. You know, 12 per hour. |

And that was in the summer. The busy time of year! Great story, Lynne. Those "babies" are probably still telling the story. |
