Have you ever seen an angel up there?

I have. I was chatting with someone in a cg and she asked that. I said. She told me to turn around. There it was.

Sylvia,
If I awoke and looked at that sky from my window I'd go back to bed. :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono:

Hmmmm...needs a new meteorological name for this unusual formation.
How about...."digiticumulus"? :floorrollin: :floorrollin: :floorrollin: :floorrollin:

Here are some more cloud images that aren't quite as rude:

I got them from this site:

http://www.consciousness.com/clouds.html Click on his galleries and you'll find cloud shapes that look like these:

Elephant

Sheedog

Sheep's face

People jumping off the end of clouds

and even Pegasus

***

I usually see lots of bears and ducks when I look at clouds.

Pegasus looks like a dragon to me!
I love clouds and have some photos of unusual ones I took out at Mono Lake; will have to see if I can get mom to scan them for me so I can post one.

Meanwhile, here's a photo of some dramatic lenticular formations from Nairn, Scotland.

I'm still laffin' at Heather's digiticumulus :floorrollin: :floorrollin:

Love that lenticular cloud shot. I have some exceptional photos of Mojave Desert lenticular clouds that I took myself at sunset. Amazing!!! I'll have to dig them out of storage and scan them in. Will do so next time I go to our hangar where we have all our "stuff" stored. It's OK...I know exactly where to find all my photos. I can do this. :P  :)

Yah RIGHT, Annie. :floorrollin: :floorrollin: :floorrollin:

Like me. I know the Mono Lake pictures are right here. In this house. Somewhere.

Probably in an album...in the attic. :faint:

If we're playing "name that cloud" I'd have to call this one:

"Another Crappy Day"! :floorrollin: :floorrollin:

Well, it took awhile but Mom did get around to scanning this for me. It took it in the mountains near Mono Lake in eastern California (Inyo Mts), at dusk. Amazing clouds!

(I forgot the date feature was on when I took it!)

Heather,
That is some ominous looking cloud. It looks like it is going to come down to earth, pluck you right off your feet and take you into the heavens.

Heather, that one could/should be posted in some of the photography mags. Maybe you could even make a buck on it...

Makes me think of the alien theme....looks like its hovering.
