Add $2 for him to buy a jalapeno pretzel at Aunt Annie's.

$9 for me to have a Supreme Latte Cafe Au Lait with cinnamon and nutmeg, and a butter croissant at Le Pan de la Mall Bistro Cafe du Jour.

That's sure the way it is in our house. Taking the wife along shopping is an absolute guarantee, you will spend 50% more. As, she always spots something she "needs". I pick up what I came for and resist the impluse buying.

Wish we had a mall!

Well we do, but there are only 8 stores in it and a hairdresser.

I sure made up for it though when I was visiting my family at Xmas. I shopped till I dropped and bought everything in sight.

Hopefully I'm good for another 12 months or so before I feel the 'need' to shop. :P

Well now, it depends, are you in the mall a) 'to shop', b) to find the pair of pants you like best or c) to buy a pair of pants at 'the Gap'

a) is an evening thing, supper first

b) is a lunch hour thing, eat while driving.

c) eat lunch, pick up pants, back to work place early

Pants, though, these days, best bet is fabric store. I never could wear hip huggers, even in the phase when they covered the belly button, in the late 60's, early 70s.

Do not want my husband in a mall with me - prefer to do all the shopping on my own. He doesn't want to be with me either because then he knows what I spend. :floorrollin: :floorrollin: :floorrollin: :floorrollin:

That's why I make sure to take Richard shopping at exciting places like these: (Equal opportunity to spot something he "needs," and me to resist the impulse buying!)

army surplus store
bait shops
gun and knife shows
Sears tool department
Harbor Freight
Academy Sports
Radio Shack
any electronic store
Auto Zone
flea markets
candy stores
ice cream parlors

I tried to get us tickets for the Jerry Springer show in Chicago last year, but they weren't taping while we were there :(

Other than they both start with M I can see nothing in common between Mall and Men...thank you Mall Goddesses.

I do have a teen son who spends a bunch of time at the Mall but that is because he is following the female's around their loop.
