Was on the Net for a while, and dropped into the Living Room where my Wife was watching a movie called "Step-Mom" - Susan Sarandon and Julia Roberts were in a restaurant, talking about the daughter that (I gather) one is the natural Mother of, and one has raised as an adopted child. *** If I have this a bit wrong, sorry but I only caught 10 minutes of it. *** They are talking about the future marriage of this girl, how they will both feel regrets, and tears start flowing, etc, etc, etc. So I lean out of my chair and say to our cat on the rug (in a cutesy "Dad"-voice, which I admit to with the cat): "Well! I guess this is just a Warm-and-Fuzzy Moment, eh Cass?" My wife mutters in a rather deep gutteral way, AS I HASTILY LEAVE THE SCENE OF THE CRIME - "You're lucky to be on your way out of here, Bucko - I'm about to hit you...." Apparently, we guys still have a few finer points to pick up on.....

too late - it's over, I'm back in front of the monitor where I belong. Shouldn't have ended the interesting ICQ conversation that I had going to watch the drippy thing, anyway. [edit - WELL, maybe it's best that I did, in retrospect] Oh Well...... I do like puppies and kittens and hugs .....?

That's OK. I catch a scene or two on an "action" "guy" type movie, and usually end up making a comment like "that's not real" that's so fake" "oh brother" and go back to whatever it was I was doing. Guy flicks bore me, so I let Richard go see 'em at the $1 movie by himself or with a friend. Works for me! He went to see "Saw" yesterday, and said I might like that, and he also saw the "Fireladder" (? I can't remember the name of that one) If he rents guy movies, I do something else, like play on this forum! BTW, I didn't particularly care for "Step Mom." Julia Roberts is not one of my favorite actresses. I like romantic comedies, or any comedy. Altho we did see "Seed of Chucky" or whatever the name is, and it was so bad, it was hilarious. |

I like romantic movies and comedies, most of the action stuff get's boring. Of course I'm not much of a sports fan either. Wife likes drama and suspense. So maybe we've got a roll reversal thing here. My real pet peeve is every woman friend and relative it seems deluges my e-mail with those sappy e-mail chain letters, which your supposed to send on or something bad will happen. I usually delete them. I think I've got 10 years of bad luck, and no love etc. etc. if you take it serious. |
