This has been such a great week. Frank and I just came back from dinner. After pulling into a parking space I DID NOT turn the ignition off, got out of the car and locked the door. We were in the restaurant about an hour, had to wait for at least 1/2 hour for our daughter to bring another set of keys. But, I not in deep do do.

Doesn't your car "ding" when the door is open and the keys are in the ignition??? Most do. :P

I visited my brother in law in rental Ford.
He had Ford as well, so when his car was idling on the area parking lot and he was cleaning it, outside I checked if my key would fit his car.
It did lock it (All Fords keys suppose to lock all Fords) , just wouldn't open.
Fortunately his apartment was only 1/4 mile away.

I once left my tape player on in the car so loud a fellow worker came in and asked me who had I left it on for...and why so loud

I never did figure that out :dunno: of course that was back in the days when I could party all night, go into work, actually function (IMO) and we had tape players.

If we didn't keep an extra set of keys in a magnetic box hidden under the car, we would have been up a creek many times over the years, even tho we do have AAA.

Saw a guy pull his old pick-up truck into the ER hospital parking lot, and after he got out of the truck, it rolled into an orange construction net surrounding a deep huge hole for a new office building. All you could see was the tailgate. 2 wreckers came and got his truck out, but then impounded the truck, because he had no way of paying them.

Oh yeah and it was locked...I DID have my keys :poke:

Had I left my keys in it don't think the office could have :floorrollin: any harder.

Thanks Cornelius. Judging from the old license plate, it must be smuggling the stuff from Netherlands :P

Probably right, we need all those "airbags" to stay afloat. :help:

I the coat of arms from the Provence of Zeeland there is a lyon waist down in water and underneath it says" Luctor at Emergo", meaning "I wrestle and emerge" .....or something (my Latin is a bit rusty)

Have you given any thought to an aquarium in your crawl space? :floorrollin: :floorrollin: :floorrollin:

I've done that a few times myself. On one car I had, the lock button was right where you would tend to bump it getting out. After at least a couple of times of getting out with the car running and coming back to find it locked, I started taking the key with me.

The two vehicles (2002 & 2003) I have now won't let you lock the door with the key in the ignition. If you lock it, it just unlocks itself right away.
