Why you see so many blondes, when the gene is recessive?

Ditto how redheads are able to keep theirs blazing when it isn't being lightened by the sun which their lily white skin objects to so strongly! :floorrollin: :floorrollin: :floorrollin: :floorrollin: And a little dab just doesn't do it!!!!

I'm a redhead when the mood strikes me. That's usually when I'm in the hairdresser's chair.
I've also been known to have many blond moments so these streaks in my head that look grey, really are blond! :floorrollin:

Being a redhead can be interesting when traveling.

A redheaded friend and her military husband were visiting small villages in Peru...they thought she was a  they moved on quickly :dunno:

Traveling to Romania in 1991 I wanted to color any grey. I went all auburn (my birth color) and the Romanians loved it. I am keeping it up!

Once a redhead always a redhead...what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas...love that line.

Only her hairdresser knows for sure!!! :floorrollin: :floorrollin: :floorrollin: :floorrollin: :floorrollin:

Red hair on everybody doesn't always work. I've seen black women with red hair and it just doesn't work--neither does dying their hair blonde. They can be stunningly beautiful with shades of brunette such as Oprah. Black can be beautiful, but not as a blonde or redhead. But that's JMHO.

I have on occasion, through the years, been blonde or redheaded. My mom started graying early, in her 20's, and didn't believe in dying her hair. So naturally, my sister and I do. (Hey, it's really all about choices! :) ) Just when I'm ready to quit and be natural, I want to go short and go blonde. Or red. Or try a new style.

Will let you all know, and will post a pic!

I was a late in life child. My mother also had pre-mature grey and beautiful white hair later. She dyed her hair because she said she didn't want me to just remember her with grey hair. Knowing my Mother it was true... now I would never be accused of being quite that sensitive :P

I've tried red, but it doesn't go well with my olive skin. And blonde makes my skin look ashy...so it's brunette for me, but a lighter shade than it used to be. Just enough to color that darned old gray.
Mom's hair went to a great looking salt and pepper, but mine hasn't reached that yet.
