We like a good cheese ball now and then. A friend of mine shared this recipe with me for a good holiday, or anytime, cheesball. Soften cream cheese, and add to it drained crushed pineapple, chopped nuts and seasoning salt. There's no trick to how much of what. It's to taste. When I get it all mixed together, I stick it in the fridge and let it harden. Then I pat it into a ball, and roll it in chopped nuts, or cover the whole thing with grated cheese. Decorate a plate with crackers and lettuce and put the cheese ball in the middle. Dig in! What is your favorite cheese ball recipe? Do you serve a cheese ball at gatherings? |

I'd love to post my sister's infamous cheeseball recipe but she'd kill me. I'll let this slip - the secret ingredient is Worcestershire sauce. Its so tangy as she uses sharp, nippy cheddar in it as well as Arsagio (sp?). I like it best with Triskets or Melba toast. I'm on the lazy side for cheese balls. I really like the ones that M&M meats has. Only $2.99 and I can eat 1/2 of one myself in one sitting if I'm not careful. |
