2 frozen loaves of bread
2 lbs. of ground chuck (browned and drained and seasoned)
1 lb. block of velveeta cheese your choice (cubed)
sliced jalapenos

Let bread defrost in refrigerator overnight. Remove from package and let rise according to package directions. Once doubled in size, roll out each bread on floured surface to about a 1/4 inch thick in large oval shape. Spoon meat on dough to about 1 in. from edges. Put cubes of cheese and peppers evenly. Starting from small end, roll into a loaf. Pinch edges to seal, Place on greased cookie sheet. Let rise for about 1 hour. A warm room,(bathroom, utility room, Etc. is best). Bake at 375 deg. until tops are golden brown. Brush butter on top of loaves when you take them out. Slice and enjoy.

Sounds good, though I would pass on the Velveeta - maybe use Jack or something.

(yikes - that would get kinda expensive.)

Yea, jack would make it a bit more expensive. We make this mainly for holidays, cause of the time involved. If you get the frozen bread that comes 3 in a pack, that is what we use and it comes out just right. ;) Danny

Re-reading this, where does the second loaf come in? As a matching "cover", before rolling up?

Sorry, I meant 3 loaves of bread, not 2 My s---- up. you might also try bread sticks and pat the bottom flat and brad the top over the mix and make a pretty mess. taste just as good, and is twice as pretty. Danny

Danny, have you ever tried freezing these after they are baked?
I see no reason why they wouldn't be just as good reheated; maybe better.

You cant freeze them when there is nothing left over. Every Sat. or Sun. my wifes family gets all the girls together, ( 5 of them) and son in laws, for dinner (lunch) to most other people. and the kids. we all bring something, meat, side dishes, dessert, etc. and have a feast. I have been married for 24 years and I bet we havent missed 5 in all that time. LOL Danny
