Not sure it goes here but an interesting ariticle on Dogs, Dozing and Dieting: A Winning Combination

Experts have this unconventional advice for dieters: Don't scrimp on sleep and think about getting a dog.

A very large study has found a surprisingly strong link between the amount of shut-eye people get and their risk of becoming obese. Researchers also found that dog owners who dieted alongside their pets did slightly better than their dog-less counterparts.

Criminy, maybe it's not just wife shrinking my clothes. I don't sleep enough or own a dog!

Sure, Chris; it has to do with people who eat too much and don't exercise enough; sure seems to fit in with all these recipes, lol.

It makes sense to me that people would lose weight quicker with a dog to care for; gets them up off the couch and outdoors at least three times a day.

My eating habits have basically stayed the same my entire life. Meat, potatoes, rice or pasta and vegtables. Always my dogs. They give me a reason to get up a 5 or 6 every morning.

I did make a drastic change 2 months ago. I quit buying gum drops and other candies. Just about killed me.

Smart move,Andrea. I about ruined my good teeth eating candy to stay awake while I was driving truck. I never eat it now (well, except at Halloween). No new cavities for years!
