Effective today are two changes for Soap. The first is the creation of a subforum called FYI. FYI will serve several purposes related to politics, religion, war, etc. One, if you have news on current events you want to post and share without comment, post them in FYI. Comments will not be allowed in FYI and will be removed without notice or explanation. Also, as news items age they will be deleted without notice or explanation. Two, if you have news sources you frequent and would like to share it with others, post them in FYI. I will try to collect these news sources in a single, pinned thread, and as I do so delete your threads without notice or explanation. Three, if you have political and religious resources you find informative and want to share, post them in FYI. I will try to collect these resources in a single, pinned thread, and as I do so delete your threads without notice or explanation. If you want to comment on current events posted in FYI, by all means, do so, in Soap. When you do, please reference the thread or, since that will disappear in a week or so, reference the source. The second is the dropping of the request not to discuss other forums. Our, my and the Administration Team's, business and efforts are given over to making a go of it with this forum. Other forums are not our concern. Be that as it may, our attitude here need not be yours. So feel free to post anything you like. If you have praise or complaint feel free to express it. Just abide by our simple and limited guidelines against flaming, baiting and profanity. Generally Speaking These are not momentous changes. But they are a beginning of a focus on what you, the members, want out of this forum. Many of you post and PM your appreciation and sometimes complaints. More should. If you have something you want to say, be it praise or complaint, say it. We will listen. May not always act, or act quickly, but will listen and be flexible. Let's make it a better forum. Your input is needed. |
