PLO does not want the Palestinians to exercise their right to democratically elect a leader. My opinion from following this. |

I think he's dead. They are trying to say he's alive while they fight over the money and control in private. Frank |

According to the following review of his history, A Gangster With Politics, most of his murderous ways were directed against Palestinians. |

Most likely that`s the case ( at least IMO ). One of the problems is: where to bury him and another one to find a successor... Arafat was too power-hungry to build one up throughout the years. |

The wife and spokesmen say Arafat's condition is stable. From what I have read over the years, that is the whole idea behind the practice of embalming. I don't know about you, but the whole thing reminds me of the old Saturday Night Live sketch where they would interrupt the news program to announce "This just in... Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead." |

Sometimes we have to be careful of for what we ask. I read yesterday that there is some likelihood that Arafat's control will be replaced by control of radical muslims (spell that international terrorists). |

Interesting note that, how jumping to conclusions overlooks unintended consequences. |

I believe Arafat's wife comes from the Golddigger tribe, old and honorable tribe that has spread to many regions of the world. |

Not certain of her country of origin but she was formally a christian according to the report I read. She may be French. She is all golddigger. Part of the Arafat problem is where he will be be buried. Differences of opinion between the factions. Don't worry, W will solve the problem. (By creating more) |
