Some people also call these Russian Tea Cookies. I make these around the Christmas holidays. l/4 cup confections sugar 1 cup soft butter 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 1/4 cup sifted flour 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 cup finely chopped walnuts Mix thoroughly 1 cup soft butter and vanilla. Sift together flour and salt and add to butter mixture. Add chopped walnuts. CHILL DOUGH. Roll into 1 inch balls. Bake until set but not brown. While still warm roll in confectioners sugar. Handle carefully. Bake at 400 degrees 10-12 minutes. |

Chrissy, I make these with chopped pecans and call them "Snowball Cookies". Archway does them with chunks of cashew and calls them Mexican Wedding Cakes; they are to die for (and probably, of! LOL). They sell them only at Christmastime. |
