OK, here's a plan that works for me:

First, Canada invades and colonizes Costa Rica.................

Actually, there is a movement afoot up here, partly based on THEIR request as well as our doing, to make a formal Territorial association with the Turks and Caicos islands in the Caribbean. I'm all over that one!

Texas Shadow sez:

heck, i can't get my dh to consider wyoming or montana for a retirement home because it's too cold.

Maybe you should bring her up here:)
She can drive around looking at the tobacco, peaches, peanuts, necterines etc.
Also, if she pleases, she can go for a walk downtown, alone at midnite without a worry in the world.
It does get down to zeroF once in a while during the winter, but thats when you go back to visit the folks along the Rio Grande.

Actually there is a possibility the Turk & Caicos Island in the Carribean will be joining Canada. They want to.

No no, Pentax, my plan is so much better. Because Canada has ALREADY invaded Costa Rica. I swear you can't pick a pocket down there without coming up with Canadian money.

Last time I was in my favorite hang out, eating chicken and rice for the third time that day, a large dog walked by outside. The table next to me had four guys wearing Bermuda shorts with plaid flannel shirts, and those hats with the earmuffs sticking out, you know. One of the guys spots the dog, points to it and says, "oh, look; it's a bear, eh?"

:floorrollin:

(sometimes I just crack me up)

Leave Costa Rica alone. My wife and I honeymooned there (who else would we honeymoon with?), and loved the country. Great people, great atmosphere. Besides, they would probably kick our asses...

Ever since I first heard that idea, I thought it was gold. Just think; direct flights, no customs, our dollar would work. Cold Molson Canadian and Kokanee served on a beach. Sign me up...

Got myself on the team, now I'm hoping to go to Turks and Caicos next month for "evaluation". Unfortunately, it's on my own money. I just get to make a report.

I plan on doing most of my "evaluation" on the beach...

Anyway, here is the new proposed political division of North America, after the current US becomes a right wing theocracy. Corky, you will be pleased to see San Diego has been included in the new land of the free.

Your hypothesis is flawed. Jesus land will have all the guns, and thus most of the land.

Well my friend should be ready to retire in @ 2 yrs and Costa Rica is where he wants to move too. He wants me to move there with him. Seems like every where I look or read anymore it comes up. Is this a sign :dunno: He has been there and loves it. Wants me to try the Zip lines.

Costa Rica ain't cheap anymore. I checked out Honduras, & its getting expensive as well. I'm partial to Lake Atitlan in Guatemala where we did an environmental study (tested real clean) a couple of summers back. Trouble is, I'm not sure about the government, Here is a picture of it.

All those democrats moving north must have some guns to leave behind. I'll stay with Tex.
