Are they really this blind, or just playing the game? I for one want to hear the TRUTH! Surely it includes some unfaltering realities. Why wont the president admit he makes mistakes? |

Perhaps because the political opposition would exploit it? Just look how much time and pressure it took for Clinton to admit his! Do you really think the democrats would praise the President for admitting he made a mistake? On the other hand, don't you think the President should maintain an optimistic view of a war we hopefully intend to win? |

Ditto. The other side has been doing such a job of it these past 18 months, why bother? |

Why Bother? You are telling me that the truth is a bother? Peralko- For me, any admission of mistakes by the Bush administration would shine a more favorable light on the President. To just keep denying what we all know is true is an affront to the senses. The President Clinton example is too dissimilar for words. Oral sex isn't killing thousands of people. What he did was his business. What President Bush is doing, or not doing is EVERYBODY'S business. |

Because it might earn one a reputation as honest instead of one of denial. I realize there's resistance to admiting wrong to opponents, but isn't there some obligation to be honest with your base and with the vast majority of Americans in the middle? Bush does it. Clinton did it. Bush did it. Reagan did it. Carter....Same old same old. |

The refusal to be honest with America by this President should be enough to give him the boot. That it may not scares me. Why is it that some will believe only what they want to believe? Nevermind I already know. |

Gee, I never heard that from the democrats about Clinton! It was not a simple matter of him endulging in oral sex. Not only did he lie about it, but he also spoke of an innocent admirer like she was the worst filth! And that's before we start talking about him taking us into a totally unnecessary war in Kosovo. I have not yet heard President utter a lie. He is reluctant to admit mistakes, which I believe is typically of politicians. Kerry certainly has not admitted to the lies about veterans he told Congress on the Vietnam war. |

Once again the only claim against Clinton is in regards to his PRIVATE life. I think that if all things were equal the Dem's should force President Bush to tell the American people if he masturbates then prove that he lies. Then stand in a big circle and yell liar at the top of their lungs. Meanwhile the president can invade another country based on lies and it wont matter because, after all we care more about what he is doing with his penis. |

Sorry, By the time he lied to me and the rest of America on public television, it is no longer his private life! |

I guess you must have wanted to get him just like the rest of the Republicans did. Thats O.K, he still enjoys a stronger approval rating that the current President. More people know the truth than don't. |

I also notice that you have turned the focus on an ex President in order to avoid explaining why this current President is unwilling to tell the truth about Iraq. An old trick overused by many. Bob and weave, shift and step. The truth is still THE TRUTH! |

Wow! And to think I was recently told on another forum that only "libs" did that kind of thing. I guess they were very wrong. |

The B.J. heard round the world over and over and ov.....Almost as much as Weapons of mass destruction. Now the next request for funds to continue the war will be around 70 billion dollars in the beginning of the year bringing the total to 225 billion for the justified bombing of afghanistan ( should have nailed that bad corner of Pakistan while we were there ) and the dumb idea of the invasion of Iraq. Bush had it all going for him but no He had to let his ego get in the way and show Iraq. The man blew it. By the time we are done there blowing up and repairing that cesspool maybe we will have alternative energy sources the Japanese or Chinese will have perfected. No matter how long it takes the B.J. will never go away. Very few I've talked to are not really that concerned about that.I know one fella who works for a major phone company who is being offered a buyout so they can send his job to the Phillipines. He will vote though. |

Sorry, no dice. I mentioned Clinton in passing, you were the one that leapt to his defense. Show me where I avoided anything in my pretty straight initial answer! I just don't understand why anyone can defend Clinton! |
