Very nice picture. It reminds me of Volendam we visited a few years ago.
We have some very found memories of Holland, especially our first (and only) night spent in jail in Bergen ann Zee..... a long story.
We had found this nice little bed & breakfast in Bergen ann Zee late one afternoon where we left all of our things (suitcases, etc) and decided to go for a walk and dinner. We were advised by the owner when we left (an old lady) to come back before 10PM, otherwise, the door would be locked and she would not answer.
A long walk, a long dinner with a few good bottle of wine....and we were back at our place at about 10:30PM.Door locked. Knocking  and  rigging at the door prompted the old lady to call the police. After explaining our ordeal, the police officer tried to convince the old lady to open the door and let us in.....no way she said.
He offered us to come and sleep in the local jail where there we no other "room mates", which we gladly accepted.
We went back to that bread & breakfast place the next morning.....to have breakfast.
Keep the picture coming.

Jack,
What a horrible woman.
Its those story you never forget, but I feel I have to apologise for her behaviour.
Hope the rest of your stay went better than that. If your not to much put off by that experience and want another go, your welcome to stay with us, I even give you the key so you can stay out as long as you want.

I wonder why Jack didn't post here his famous picture yet.
The one in the center of Amsterdam, that has been STANDING UP there for about 2 centuries.
That would bring some public ;)

Kris, we made full circle here, back where we started.
I thought that was your picture. :rolling:
Before everybody starts asking, we might as well show them, don't you think?

Unfortunately my camera broke, when living Poland.
But I have full detailed video, also showing about 1/4 mile long waiting line under the statue.
The line was to some kind of the club. You Cornelius wouldn't know, would you? :)

A while back I had posted that we were in one of the most beautiful places on earth...Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park, Canada (British Columbia.) At that time, I posted google pics.

Now, here's one of mine...

Posted Image

I believe that is Emerald Glacier up on the mountain.

and at Cottonwood Campground, outside Conconully, Washington...

And a favorite from my album...camping at Spar Lake, Montana (below)

Ah, the color of the water! How I love that turquoise color. The red canoe sets it off well and gives the picture a grand scale..

Patrick (16 mos.) and Sean (22 mos.) are on top and may be shoving Aidan (1 on the button) into the cooler. Not too sure :dunno:

Our daughter's shot of "three boys in a cooler" from our September week at the Jersey shore. These are our three youngest grandsons - don't know what they did with the beer ;) They do look a little guilty.

Awwwww...what cuties! I never will believe they took the beer.

However...give them 12 or 14 years, and it might be a possibility..
