This movie should heat-up the conversations a bit! The information on the movie starts about halfway down the page. Looks like this movie may pose some questions GWB might rather not hear.

More on the movie: UNCOVERED: THE WAR ON IRAQ. Some trailers and stuff. Don't know much else.

Loved this quote:

Patriotism is supporting your country all the time and your government when it deserves it.
--Mark Twain

Might show up in my signature.

Chris, great quote.

Wonder if this movie is the ground work for CIA payback to the politico's for the bashing they have received?

Bill,
Is telling the truth payback or is it the honorable thing to do? Shakespeare said something about one's good name being worth more than gold. Maybe a few people in the right places feel their good names have been besmirched in the name of political cover up.

Is repeating erroneous information you know to be erroneous a lie?

While not as good as the movie, here is the transcript of the movie. Amazing, simply amazing. You've probably heard this stuff and read it before, but you forget, and the stories get told and retold.

Address message, not messenger.

When I read the transcript, I read only what Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Powell, Wolfowitz said. Skipped the others.

Buddy,
The truth can only come from certain sources and down approved channels? Does an improper messanger mean you won't even evaluate the message?

Buddy,
The truth can only come from certain sources and down approved channels? Does an improper messanger mean you won't even evaluate the message?

Not at all but I do believe that knowing the source is a part of the evaluation.

Please note that I did not criticize or for that matter make any comment about the validity of the source. I only noted who was distributing the flick.

Buddy,
I do think they should at least be credited for putting the script on the net, you can freely evaluate the information without having to donate to their cause.

Buddy, every statement, even every question carries presuppositions and implications. Otherwise, statements are devoid of meaning.

Yes, the messenger can be a cause for concern, for suspicion, well, at least for motive. My son might come to me dad my friends' parents buy them cars and I must examine the messanger for motive, despite the statement's likely veracity these days.

What's ironic here is it is indeed the motives of the messengers that are in question. Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Powell, Wolfowitz, and others in the administration--and we can include most everyone in Congress, and even ex-Presidents who commented on the matters dealt with in the movie (transcript).

Questioning motives is vitally important. It is a question of national interest.

Patriotism is supporting your country all the time and your government when it deserves it.

That deserves framing.

Sure, frame them, too. Hang 'em alongside the framing of Iraq.
