'morning Folks, Gray snowy morning here. Not much coming down--just enough to make its presence known. Today's a good day for roof repair (from the inside). Home Depot didn't have the product I was looking for (Through the Roof), but they had something similar. It's just a matter of access to the area. I've been in the attic space, but never that far down into the added-on area of the house. It will be an experience one way or another. Youz guys have a nice day, JM |

Wow! Another day already. Been spending WAY too much time playing Quake 4 on the new machine. Might have to peek outside and see if the sun's up or not... |

I guess that I would do the same if I need to buy a new computer in the next few years ! Windows XP to get "permanent" support Staff reporter Thu, 25 Jan 2007 Microsoft announced on Wednesday that it will extend technical support of its current Windows XP operating system, ahead of the imminent release of the new Vista platform, for the foreseeable future due to the fact that few customers are migrating to Vista. According to the software giant, technical support for all three of its current Windows XP versions — Home Edition, Professional, and Media Centre Edition — indefinitely . Microsoft generally continues support for its older operating systems for a number of years and recently stopped supporting Windows 98; but this will not be the case with the ever popular XP. The company will launch its first new operating system in five years, Windows Vista, on January 30 for home owners but it is said to be vastly inferior in many ways to Windows XP and many buyers of new systems plan to remove Vista and install XP in its place. |
