'morning Folks, The east is certainly having an easier time with winter than the west and midwest are. A few more inches of snow here today in NY, but nothing compared to the ice in the country's midsection, and frost in the west. I finally met with the "heating specialist" contractor yesterday. He didn't forget to mention that the infer-red instrument he uses to check for insulation and heat loss (along with other attributes) is worth 10 grand. I hope he knows what he's doing with it! But he did a walk-through with me, and his diagnosis is reasonable. Although he wants to examine the data before he submits a plan. Winter will be mostly over by the time the work is finished, but I may end up with a cooler house this summer. Youz guys have a nice day, JM |
