'morning Folks! It is finally sunny and almost warm here in the northeast! I haven't looked at the rain-gage yet, but I haven't heard any more talk of drought either! Lawn mowers will be out in force today...it's not only me who hasn't been able to mow. Everything else is greening up. I have a few tomato and pepper plants that I started from seed. They're not getting very big in the peat pods, so I'll put them out in the big pots and hope for the best. I need to see if there are any signs of live in the potato patch too. Gotta get everything else planted before it's too late! Yawl have a good day, stay cool! JM |

Anne has agreed to let our lawn go to see what develops. It is less a lawn than a wooded Savanah and should develop an understory of May Apples, Jack-in-the Pulpits, Violets, etc.* It really doesn't want to be a grassy lawn in the first place. Maybe it'll wind up being a bigger pain in the neck than a grassy space - we'll see. ![]() Dave *or Brambles, Sticklebushes, and snakes perhaps. |

Morning folks!! I hate to brag, but I don't have a lawn I have sage brush and cati.Thursday my brother and I will be putting up 4 foot high wire mesh around the fence line that surrounds my property. I have got to protect my lil gal from the massive amounts of rattlesnakes that we have here, and the one's that get through the wire mesh will meet their fate at the end of the barrel of my 12 guage pump I can also spray a chemical substance that snakes hate but I would rather not go that route.I am at work this morning (not having any fun) so you all have a good day!!! |

Aside from one week in Mid-May, it's been a lot cooler and wetter than normal in southern BC... I keep telling everyone "This is a heck of a nice April."!!! They are calling for sunny skies and in the 80's starting tomorrow and into Friday at least, so I'll cross my fingers because my wife has another week off as of the 10th. |

Rather nice here today. Not too hot and a nice cool breeze. I would be happy with it like this all summer. Currently: 21° /70° this is our current temp @ 7:30pm |

It didn't get really hot here today, but I worked up a sweat pushing the lawn mower anyway. Two weeks is way to long to go without mowing this time of year. Then the mower broke--the part inside that starts it. Wasted an hour fixing that--but I did it. Tomorrow's plans got changed, so I can get the rest of the outdoor stuff finished! 76 for a high tomorrow--shorts and tank top! Yup, summer is coming! JM |
