I just called the hospital and spoke to my daughter, but the doctor just came in. The nurse said they will probably keep her. She just called back. Her transplant coordinator whom works with her lung specialist was waiting for her. She only had to wait 5 min and she was in. She has seen 3 doctors so far and waiting for another. Her lung is filling full of fluid and they don't know why. She has no strength to go more then a few steps. Nicole is talking to her. I will probably go up as the is at home not with her. |

Well I spoke to 3 doctors. There is nothing they can do. These fluid pockets will continue to happen due to there is so much scar tissue and damage in the lungs. They checked her lungs and legs for blood clots ( due to swelling ) which kinda scared me for a bit but all is fine there. No infection so far. Just another issue/pain she has to get used to in her daily life living with COPD. They spoke of glueing her lungs to her ribs once again but we said no in the past as it makes it harder for the transplant. So I took her home. Yes, they sent her home. Actually she is high risk for infection when in there. She will go to the speciality clinic next week for a check up. Massive steroids in the mean time. To think..I don't have any grey hair.. but I think my part is getting wider. Thanks everyone for your support.. Karen |
