Almost noon, and no one has posted yet. Must have been a party last night and I didn't get the word. Well, it's time to shake it out and greet the day. Hang overs be #^$&. The coffee is strong, but for some reason not to hot this morning. You will have to zap it in the micro wave. Hopefully, the council will have goodies on the table. I need some "comfort food". Still haven't gotten over my mourning process. HEY, wake up. and Be Of Good Cheer!!! Ken Gasbarri |

'morning Folks, I was here while you were posting, Ken, but the power went off just long enough to reset my computer. It's been on since than, though, so I guess it's no big deal!
Yeah, I read your explanation on yesterday's thread. Looks like a major decision. I'd be like giving up camping for some of us--I'm not camping now, but that's a temporary situation. Not sure how I'd feel if I though I wouldn't be doing it again... good luck. Still not much traffic on the State highway outside my window. But I expect that to change later this afternoon. Drive carefully if you're heading home. Yawl have a good day, stay cool, stay dry, stay safe, JM |

G'morning. It will be hot here today. 88. Shall I go to the parade? My brains are already a bit fried so a little more shouldn't hurt. It is a sunny morning, bad sun, bad, bad sun! It tries to cheer me & I'm not ready to smile yet. grumpy dave PS to paraphrase Abe Simpson - "Praised be the Lord for letting me live so long as to gain the experience needed to find fault with everything!" No parties here; just a lot of hard work in the garden. Got the work done early before it got hot. I saw a beautiful garter snake back of the house by the old well; hopefully he'll stick around and eat some voles, maybe have a chipmunk for dessert. He was a pretty good size for this type of snake; a good 18". We do not have enough snakes! Dave, you should live here. The parade goes right by the house, no need to go anywhere! There are many advantages to living in a small village. I love the disgruntled cardinal! |

I'm back from my weekend with my family. Family is everything to me. They don't live close enough to me to see them very often. It takes about 2and 1/2 hours to drive it and schedules don't match up all the time. They were wanting me to stay one more day and threatened to hide my car keys from me. I felt I needed to go home. It was hard to leave.

Nice to hear you have a good visit wylifox . LAst night Marg ( my cousin ) and I seen our life flash before us We were going home and this guy in a big truck whipped around the corner and did not even see us. He was heading straight for us so he was on the wrong side of the road also. There was still lots of light. He turned the corner so wide and he was driving straight for us. MArg slamed on the brakes and honked the horn. When he stopped you could hardly walk betweem the vichles. All he did was sit there and laugh and threw his hands in the air. He was laughing. He did not even see us. This was @ 3min from home. We would have been goners..head on like that ..us small car him a big truck. I sure would have made a mess all over the road that is for sure. |
