'morning Folks

Who's got big plans for the weekend? I'd answer first, but I don't have any, so it's up to you. The weather around here will be nice, tho, so if something comes up, I'll be ready.

I found the ^@!$ weed-wacker yesterday! Yup, you know where it was--in the last place I looked. I found it in time to retain my sanity, and use it on half the weeds too! It kept sucking up the deer fence, so I knew it was time to pack it in for the day.

I don't know what the forum headlines will be today. "Snarling Beast" is still up there today. One of Sharon's dogs got killed by a neighbor's German Shepherd. Not the first time the GSD got violent either. State police took statements, and the dog warden showed up at Sharon's when we were on the phone at 9 last night. Her dog was a pure breed, so there will be a small-claims case there.

Yawl have a good day, stay warm, stay cool, stay dry,

JM

Morning John and Yawls;

Another nice day here. Getting just a little hot for this time of year, but ain't nobody complaining.

Peggy and I will be spending the week-end at Pueblo Motorsports Park. Racing on Friday, and Sunday. Saturday is just for Testing and Tuning, so it will be somewhat laid back. PMP is a great little track. Owned by the city of Pueblo, and out in the middle of nowhere. Not much of a facility as compared to Bandimere, but the people are awesome. Bandimere is a great facility, but when the racing is over, you just can't wait to get out of the place. Pueblo is just the opposite. They bring in bands and have "family" cook-outs and bond fires. We really do enjoy going there. Haven't been for a couple years because the car was broke, hopefully that is behind us now.

Stopped and looked at the new paint job on the car yesterday afternoon. Paint job looks good. VERY RED. Peggy loves it, but I ain't so sure yet. I think it looks like a giant tomato.

Well, coffee is hot and it is time to hit the keyboard in a professional mode.

Be Of Good Cheer!!!

Good morning, nice day out today....but as always, got stuff inside that needs tending to.
*Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming- "Wow!, What a ride!"

*A good friend will bail you out of Jail...A true friend will be sitting next to you saying "Boy, was that fun!"

I better say good morning now, because it will soon be afternoon.... :fryingpan:

Out planting this morning; two rows of beans (first ones have their second set of leaves), getting ready to put the tomatoes and peppers out. I have to go buy some gladiolus bulbs; somebody forgot to dig them last fall....

Overcast and cool today, but we're heading for the lake anyway. Bert's been very understanding about her week's vacation not being exactly as planned, what with Dad et al. But we both need to recharge a bit so, weather be damned, we're going.
Just for an example, the weekend Vancouver Province is a treat for me, as it has five (5) crosswords, but I've only done ONE from last weekends paper so far... :pfft:

Be prepared for next Tuesday or Wednesday to be nice and warm, Wolfie - Bert's back to work next week! :floorrollin:

It has been good in many ways that my family has Elisabeth until Friday. I have had time to go into work, time to relax at home and time to play on my quads. But more importantly it gave me time to think.

Instead of taking the rest of the month as well as next month off from work I have decided that since my sister is living with me and is willing to help me care for my daughter that I will go back to work on Monday and work my usual 4 day work week. Off every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

It does not do me a lot of good just sitting here at the house with idle time on my hands, I get to thinking about Ellen and what she and I once had and that brings forth emotions I am not ready to face.

This forum has been a great place for me to vent my feelings and I feel that you all really do care about my well-being. Work will take up much of my time during the week so if you see me one here it will usually be when I am on a much needed break.

This Friday I am going to pack my 5'er and take my sister and my daughter camping out in the desert.

Thank you all for all the support you have given me over the past 12 days, I really do appriciate it.

Sounds like a well though out plan, Derrick. You will find a better use for the time off somewhere down the line. Have a good time in the desert! Never camped there myself, it must be interesting.

Yes, the desert is interesting. This time of year we have to watch for snakes and it is starting to get hot. When summer comes I will not be camping as much, but I will start my camping season in the fall and winter. Those are the best times for camping since the snakes are hibernating.

Me keeping very busy will be a good thing. This is the most I have been online in my life and I am afraid it allows my mind to idle and honestly that is not a good thing. I need to keep my mind active as well as my body. My work is demanding both physically and mentally. When I get home at night I will have my daughter for company, and I will very much enjoy watching her grow.

I will come in from time to time to post new pictures of her.
