It's gonna be another beautiful day. The birds are certainly in full voice, and with the windows now open through the night, who needs an alarm clock. OK, enuff wax. The coffee is on, hot, and plentiful. Go for it. Danish, well, that's another matter and you will have to fend for yourselves. Sorry. We drove over to visit with Kylie and her parents yesterday, and borrowed the motorhome while we were there. We will be going down to Pueblo Motorsports Park this coming week-end. I mentioned yesterday that Friday's trip to Bandimere had problems. Well, we have decided to race elsewhere. We will be participating with "HEAVY METAL RACING" at "club clashes", but I will be keeping records, and Peggy will be driving the truck. I understand that in the grand scheme of things, an "out-of-touch" speedway management is somewhat trifle. My life is going so well now, I need something to whine about, and this just came along at the right time. So, today will be spent getting the motorhome ready for next Fridays trip. This is the rig that we gave them a few years ago when we bought the 5'er, and they have maintained it well. Friday, after deciding not to participate in the Test-N-Tune, we took the car to the paint shop. Hopefully, we made the right decision. We pick it up next Friday morning, and leave immediately for Pueblo. Well, think I will grab a nutter cup of coffee, and maybe play poker on-line until I can start making noise outside. Have a wonderful day, and of course Be Of Good Cheer!!! Ken Gasbarri |

'morning Folks! Open windows, huh Ken? Not here--34F when I got up this morning. I think it went up to 35 when the sun came out! But yeah, the sun, so it aint all bad, although there is rain on radar heading this way. Interesting plans, Ken, but I have to ask, have you actually driven the thing in a race this season? Maybe next weekend.... Nothin' doin' here. same old Sunday stuff, so off to breakfast...then, who knows... Yawl have a good day, stay warm, stay cool, stay dry, JM |

John; Yep, I've noticed that also. I was so confident that we would be ready for the first race this season, and for all intent and purpose, we were. Just little things prevented us from racing. Peggy thinks I am a little "gun shy" from blowing very expensive engines early in our last two seasons, and I am beginning to buy into the theory. I really did feel good about racing this week-end, but then I have this "attitude" problem with Bandimere, and that got in the way this time. Now my problem is that I need to be careful not to do something stupid, just to break the "jinks". I really do have to get this behind me. The big reason we came back to this ill-begotten part of the country was racing, and now I am spending all my time just talking about it, and not actually doing it. Hell, I can talk about it anywhere in the country. OK, I'll turn down the whine and go back to sleep for awhile. Ken Gasbarri |

Good morning, all, Summer arrived in Atlanta yesterday after a long, cool Spring. We'd had some warm days previously, but the air didn't "feel" like summer. Yesterday it did as the temps reached towards 90 degrees. And, wouldn't you know it, but it had to be on the day I've mowed the lawn in over 10 years! Now that I'm retired, I have more time than money so - part of the retirement program is taking the lawn care back from the service. Now I remember why paying the money every month was a good thing! Bought a Toro Personal Pace mower with electric start and it's the best mower I've yet used. There is something almost decadent about turning a key to fire up the mower. Weather looks like it's going to be another lovely day, so we are going to the Georgia Renassiance Festival to gnaw on a turkey leg and see the costumes. If I get any good photos, I'll post 'em. Have a great day. |

Gonna rain heavy with high winds. Lawn guy while we were away did such a great job he is on steady. If I had a lot of money I'd be on a beach being fanned by island girls and sipping Mai Tai's. Oh well since we got home i've put off fixing a broken pipe in the garage and my wife is threatening to hire a plumber. No way is that gonna happen. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ . How to become un-lazy is the only problem I have. |

sorry JohnM but I have been sleeping with the window wide open, fan going and just laying on top of the sheet. Currently: 16° /61° High: 22° /72° so just nice weather for long weekend camping even though most of Southern Alberta has a fire ban. Nicole and I are going to see a teen flick this afternoon. I have so much to do in the yard like cutting the grass.. that should be fun :kickcan: |

My girls were all here this weekend; Alison couldn't stay but Jenn and Ros were here and Val took us to dinner (Mom didn't want to go). Here we are doing what we do best: [from left; Rosalind (the one with cancer), me, Val, and Jenn (a nurse in Rhode Island)] (clickable) ![]() They talked until about 2 am; quite a pajama party. I slept through it all.. Just put Val on a plane for her California home... |

It was 58 and cloudy here... 58 at almost the end of May... The heat still runs, I'd like to be using the wood stove...this is ridiculous! JM |

Now John I have slept in the tent in cooler weather then that. I hope to be out there really soon. I will not do my garden this year, I have to pass on that. I will attempt to cut the grass tomorrow. I will probably be sorry, but it will not cut itself. |
