Good morning Ladies. and a good morning to you gentlemen out there. It is Wednesday, the weather is finer than frog hair, and I made it vertical one more day. I think I am finally making the adjustment to the work-a-day world. For awhile there, I was dragging hind side when I got home, but Peggy has slowly worked me up to a couple hours of "honey do's" after I get home now, and it ain't so bad. It does get a little difficult to get out of bed in the morning at times, but that goes away at first sip. Oh, and I finally got what I want at work. Now that I have it, I sure hope it is what I wanted. We shall see in a few weeks. This coming Saturday,Peggy is going up to Ft. Collins to visit her Sister for a week or so. I will be home alone pizza, and of course, I will miss beer her very much. I will be thinking of potato chips her the whole Danish time. Well, there are things to do, so maybe I should do them. Be Of Good Cheer!!! Ken Gasbarri |

'morning Folks! Yup Ken, your right, we don't need no stinkin' topic, just a day and a date, and you got that right... as for the gentlemen thing, Haven't met any of them here...After all my whining (hold the cheese) about the school budget, I didn't get to town in time to vote last night. (Here come the excuses) Fortunately, one vote never made a difference, so I don't feel so bad about it! It's cool (OK, chilly) and cloudy here again today. An upper-level storm is stalled, and just keeps spinning, dropping rain each time a spiral-arm (almost sounds like the galaxy) passes over an area. Indoor stuff again today, not that it's muddy or anything, but there will be better days for outside stuff. OK, I'll make (strong) coffee (since nobody else did--KEN)! Somebody hasn't been getting enough salisbury steak to think clearly in the morning (no names). Yawl enjoy the coffee and have a good day, stay warm, stay cool, stay dry, JM |

Coffeeeee.... ummmm.... I've been drinking Starbuck's Espresso for a while now. It is the main reason I get up in the morning. 20 years ago cigarettes were my main reason to get up, followed closely by coffee... Wow that first morning cigarette was painful in a wonderful way. Damn near killed me too. Today I head north. I'm going to take it easy so it'll take a while at a couple hundred miles a day. Look out Walmarts, here I come! Where are the women this AM? Dave |

I'm here! JohnM, it is a beautiful morning here; bright sun on the dogwoods. I am going out in a few minutes to take a couple of pictures. I heard from my Alaskan aunt and uncle yesterday. They are still having s**w (mixed with rain) and haven't even been able to plant their peas yet. Think I need to pack my mukluks? ![]() Mom's walker broke a wheel yesterday and we have to go out to find another one (walker, not wheel). This one was used when she got it, and has had a long and useful life, but is showing signs of wear; wheels, seat, brake cables, etc. Fortunately Medicare pays for them. Dave, have a safe trip and I hope you can keep in touch on the way. Hope you get the little red scooter going soon!

Good morning, all, Well, so much for sitting on my butt enjoying retirement; it's time to start the chores. Today I need to clean the trailer from last weekend's trip to FDR State Park and start getting ready for next weekend's trip to Chiefland Astronomy Village for a few nights of observing. T he CAV is a 160 acre plot that has been divided into 5 and 10 acres lots to be sold ONLY to amateur astronomers. No white lights after dark, a large field to set up telescopes, power hookups for a few trailers. Don't own property there, but am a member and head down a few times a year for the observing. Also in the job jar is cleaning the crud off my telescope mirror and the spiders out of the scope itself. Haven't had the scope out since February when we went to the Keys. One of my hopes for retirement is to get a lot more "eyepiece time" in with the scope! Oh yeah, the wife has a "honey do" as long as my left leg, but I think I misplaced it. Have a great day, y'all! Good morning, all! It's not nice here. My body parts tell me rain is coming...knee and wrist. I noticed two good sales in the paper - baskets and luggage. I will probably have to go check them out. Plus, I need to go to Toys 'r Us to find a scooter for Patrick's birthday. I hate going to T r U. Place is huge and I see too many things the littles would love. Patrick and Nick share 6/1 as a birthday - one will be three and one will be six. I think we will be sending Nick a check...he's starting to really understand saving and the value of money. Still mulling that one over. Have a day

Eric, here's a map to the place:CAV directions It's not too far from Gainesville.
I almost bought a piece of land on the west side of Long Pond (the little Long Pond to the west of the other Long Pond) about 25 years ago, but too many ticks. (Wish I had put up with the ticks now...) |

Morning all - going on 8 a.m. here and we are putting sunblockers in the east windows and the skylight. It got to 35 yesterday (95f), forecast is for one degree "cooler" today - whoopee. It won't take long to get used to it, but the sharp change in thought-patterns is kinda jolting... this time last week, it was "Do I dare try shorts, or just put on the sweats as usual?" Off to see Dad again in a while, getting mixed reports on his progress since Monday. I've managed to make some neccessary preparatory contacts by phone, but now I'm not so sure if he's going anywhere right away. More later. |

Good morning. The fog is moving back offshore, revealing a deep blue sky. It will be another hot one today. I have a couple of hours before I need to drive to the college. Oops, I'm getting older. I woke up this morning and made some coffee. I went outside to relax with the surf coming in. Everything was blurry. I know that I had exactly two glasses of champagne at the party last night and that should not have impacted my vision this way. That was when I realized that I had my reading glasses on, instead of my normal glasses. Duh. |
