OMG, it's Monday AGAIN!!!. After early returns, it appears that the rallies were a big success and everyone survived. Glad to hear it went so well. Mrs. Mlk, how did the Wisconsin rally go?

We had a quit weekend, with Kylie coming over for "Mom's Day". She sent the parents off shopping, and kept Granny & Grampa all to herself. Had a little cook-out that went well, and by the end of the day, the little brat was about tuckered out and didn't protest much when it was time to leave.

We live the perfect distance from the kids. Far enough away that they don't just drop in at all hours, but close enough that when they do come by, they have to make it home that same day.

Anyway, time to recoup from the rally. (suppose that is why no one else is posting yet)

'morning Folks!

Pat posted a few rally pics on yesterday's thread, for anyone who hasn't been to it, and I think we can count on Heather to be here later with more photos. Never trust the weatherman!!

I'll make (strong) coffee, since somebody else forgot :fryingpan: :fryingpan: And Chrissy can bring danish today--somebody's got to do it, and she's been getting up early these days!

Two new people added themselves to the <<Campfire Soapbox Member Map>> on Saturday. If your not on the map, or if you want to see who is, go check it out.

Not much going on here today. Tomorrow is the school budget vote, so I'll wait til then to go to the village. Maybe get the rest of the lawn mowed today before it rains.

Yawl have a good day, stay cool, stay warm, stay dry,

JM

Good morning, Another wet day today, sorta expected it though. When I got home from the Rally with a wet Pop Up (not a good thing), called a friend about 10 miles away, he said I could set it up to dry in his driveway....those who have Pop Ups know how important this is....now I'm really regretting living in this Townhouse. Terri has been pushing me to drink lots of water to rehydrate myself....she sez "I can imagine how much you drank this weekend"
*Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming- "Wow!, What a ride!"

*A good friend will bail you out of Jail...A true friend will be sitting next to you saying "Boy, was that fun!"

Just a quick hello :nerd:

I have to go in to work early as Mondays's are always so busy. Usually a lot of phone messages to go through before we turn the phones on.

Nicole keeps reminding me this is tent weather :faint: Soon...

Well I have to get ready and go soon.

Nice to hear everyone had fun at the rally.

Good morning everyone! Would someone please pass me a pot of coffee, no need for a cup I will just drink the whole thing. I have been up since, since, oh yeah since 2 AM with the baby :banghead: She has colic according to my wife and I am the one who has to help her :banghead: She has stopped crying and is now asleep on a blanket in the middle of the dining room floor.

I hope everyone has a good day and I will quit my whining and get back to housecleaning

Mojave;

She (the baby) is just letting you know who runs the show from here on out. If you are really good, and don't challenge her, she may let you get some sleep. Good Luck!!

Good morning, slept late, up early back to bed........

I made danish early this morning but I think Ken dedcided it was better than his nutrition bars, so you know the rest of the story.
I'll put these in oven, won't take too long, help yourself.

We had a nice time with the kids yesterday. They are leaving for Italy on Thursday. OUr daugahter lived in Florence for a year after high school. When she returned from Italy she spoke the language beautifully. Before the plane landed they asked the passengers returning from Italy to fill out a customs declaration, when Jacqueline starting filling hers out, the Italian flight attendant told her not you, it's just for Americans. :) Oh was she pleased.

Not much to do today, you know the same routine........

Ciao

Morning all! Chrissy, all this baby talk must be getting to my brain - first glance at your Danish pic and "practicing with diapers" popped into my mind. :floorrollin:
We were old-school, the only time we used disposables was on a trip somewhere, which was almost never in those days.

Off to see how my Dad is progressing today - sounds like he's been improving a great deal, but still no word about being released.

Managed to get in a nice Mother's Day dinner last night: fondue with beef, breaded mushrooms and scallops. It was a bit warm for a fondue yesterday, but we managed.... predicting 30 c. today - upper 80's f. Sure seems to have changed overnight this year.... another sign of aging? :melodramatic:

My gosh! Almost 1PM - I feel like I'm a day late and a dollar short ;)

Greetings! They didn't have disposable diapers when our kids were little - dumped and washed a good many of those over the years. Remember rubber pants and diaper pins? Ah, the good old days - NOT! I'm all for Pampers now...but they are expensive.

Have a day :)

EDIT ~ Mur...hope you find that your dad is showing some improvement. Good luck

I heard the alarm go off this morning and decided for a brief moment that it was Sunday... then the reality set in. Went to bed early too.
Busy day at work; a lot of deliveries and showing our new employee where and how everything works. Just about caught up now and my lunch hour is only half gone.
The rally sure sounded fun, Pat; I hope we can attend one some day.
Tent weather... I've been watching your weather 6C seems a bit brisk for a tent, at least to a FL boy. ;)
Funny Mur, I was thinking the same thing about the danish. :faint:

Speaking of Poo poo's I have been relieved of my fatherly duties for a few days ;)

My in laws have arrived early and no one is fighting as of yet  Ell was so happy to see her Momma that she has taken a shower and gotten out of bed, I was getting worried that all she wanted to do was sleep and not hold the baby.

But now she has transformed into the loving woman I knew before the baby arrived

I am off to have a long ride in the desert and see if I can keep out of trouble, may ride into town to see what's up (small town)
