'morning Folks! The weather in the NE has improved dramatically after all the forecasts for a wash-out! A few showers here and there, but nothing that will spoil an outdoor !We'll wait until tomorrow night to hear about the Rally. I haven't heard from anybody with Wifi--either that, or they're having too much fun to bother with us Naah, that can't be it!It's too early to make coffee--there's nobody here but me and two guests, so I'll come back later and do that. Maybe Ken will be here with the danish by then. No excuses today! I know he's on a 3-day weekend!! I don't know what's going on in Delhi this weekend, so I don't have any plans. It's warm already, tho, so I will probably get stuff done outside. Especially if it doesn't rain. An inch fell on Thursday night, which helped the drought and fire danger, but we still need another 3 inches here to have an average May. Yawl have a good day, stay warm, stay cool, stay dry, JM |

Good Morning. I'm not too sure I want to be here, rather early wouldn't you say?
The coffee (strong) is brewing, coffee cake almost ready to take out of the oven. Today is Watermelon Festival in Newberry, Fl.. Frank will be there most of the day, he set up a Fair Tax booth. I should arrive later this morning to check out the food, hopefully come home with a watermelon. Never been to a watermelon festival.![]() JohnM, how's everything with Sharon and Toni? Give Sharon our best. It would be nice if you get over to the rally, Heather, Pat and Beer Belly are there. Have a nice day. |

OK, OK, the Danish are on the table. I can't have any because of the diet of course, but that's ok, don't even give me a second thought, ....just sitting here NOT eating Danish. I'll be ok, don't worry, I can always eat a nutrition bar, or maybe some salad, Yah, salad, that's it. I don't need no stinky Danish. Anyway, last evening I was reminded why we drag race. We went to the speedway to drop off the car, and just watch the races. Strictly a "street car" event last night, so we couldn't run, but many of our friends were there, and we made some new ones. The racing part is certainly fun, but just being there with all our friends and seeing who could tell the biggest lie by the end of the evening makes it a special place to be. Anyway, we really enjoyed it, and maybe we can actually make a pass down track soon. Other than "The Council of The Elders", nothin planned for today. WOW, youse guys must have been hungry!! The Danish are gone already. Well, I hope you enjoyed them. No, don't worry yourselves about me. I will muddle through somehow. (why do I feel so stuffed). Well, gotta go. See you Danish,... I mean see you tomorrow. Ken Gasbarri |

I noticed that there are a few new members who haven't put themselves on the map yet--it's easy to do! Instructions are available in the first <<pinned thread>> in Cafe. If you haven't seen the map yet, <<have a look here>>. . Many of us have pictures posted...bet you can't resist seeing that, can you? JM |

Yup, quite is the word of the day! It's more than just the rally people missing, although there is more than one rally this weekend. Maybe the rest of them found a watermelon fest to attend. There's a country song about that...#got a 100 gallons of sweet red wine....made from the sweetest watermelon on the vine....# Hmmm.... If you dance, and I sing, they will never come back...

I did go to the Watermelon Festival, but didn't stay too long. The vendors were located directly in front of the horse stables, I found the smell of horse manure a bit overwhelming.

Wolfie, does she pick with back-ups then have to wait to see if she got her choices? So glad she is conscious of school she wants to attend and grades. Tough age so that is a BIG plus. I remember you saying you do not drive, is this a bus ride for her? Kate |

Welcome aboard, Derrick, I've been following Ellen's progress when I go to the other place to do "nothin'". That's about all I do there these days. Cgts on the kid after the 3-day wait! Sleep? You still remember what it is, so you're doing OK. JM |
