Now, now...the weather people might be wrong, you know. (I don't believe that for an instant, but I have to say it.) I can't find a weather forecast I like for the weekend. :(

Rick, jello shots and marinated gummy bears may do the trick. Have some.
Have a lot......Wish I could be there, I'll send warm weather and sunshine from Gainesville. :)

Chrissy, we wish you could be there too! I will think of you with every Jello shot.

You might want to thank your stars you aren't going to be there. They're over there talking about making Jello shots with gin! :faint:  I told them they'd better rethink that, unless they can find some vermouth-flavored Jello. :floorrollin:

We had a nice lunch at Dock 'n Dine...all five of us. Seven people just didn't show up! What is it with people who don't call or e-mail? It was a little embarrassing for me since I'd made the reservation (at their request).

I had lobster salad...when the bill came we found out the restaurant offers 25% off for seniors on Wednesdays only, so that was a very inexpensive lunch!

Chrissy,
You better ship us some sunshine. Doesn't look promising at all. They stopped using the word showers and now they are saying RAIN. Rain is bad.

We will miss you and Frank!!

Well, we're going to need it, I'm afraid. Take a run up to Deer Run on Saturday - we'll be sitting in the rain. Maybe singing too ;)
Crossing things off my list like crazy. It's cocktail time.
Any news from Sharon re Toni?

Apparently Toni will be released from the hospital tomorrow morning. Eye pressure is down to 21, which is close to the upper limits of normal, and the glucose should stabilize when she begins using her insulin pump again. The endocrinologist filed a complaint with the hospital because they had Toni remove her pump without checking with the endo first... Hopefully Sharon will get some rest over the weekend. She doesn't have that much stuff to do. Thanks to everyone who has been asking about both of them.

John,
What you just said was very scary.
One would hope that while in a hospital, a diabetic's gluscose levels would be handled properly. I would imagine the endo filed a complaint. Wow.
Poor things. They have to be wiped out. to Sharon.

Pat, if you knew how many mistakes are made and how many infections are contracted in hospitals, you'd never go near one again. Actually, the stats are readily from AARP (the source I know of) and probably many other sources. It's essential that patients know as much as possible about their condition, and just as important, what to expect as treatment.

BTW, 24 minutes and you can start a *new* thread! :fryingpan: :fryingpan:

Oh, I'm aware of the pitfalls of hospitals and that you have to be your own advocate (or for a minor child or aged parent) but a diabetic in for diabetes induced blindness in one eye????
Passing on the early wakeup call ;) Off to bed! Good luck to Sharon tomorrow.

....oh, how I wish that were the case....it's feeling better, still sore...but a wet rally with a little back ache is still better than my best day at work

Damn, I missed it. Jimmy Buffet was in town and I was just passing by. I stopped, but it was sold out. I love his concerts. I guess I'll have to go to Key West. Hmmmm, that is not a bad place to be. I need to do the hospital thing in California first, though. Orson needs to see his vet and this heart thing needs to be addressed. I need to be able to take a breath without these sharp pains in my heart. this is not right. I'm stopping at the next hospital.

Gosh golly. This is not right. You might laugh, but I am not. I am scared and heading for the nearest emergency room. Bye.
