'morning Folks,

Sunny and cool again in the northeast! We need rain, but I have things to do, so I"m not complaining today. I'll make the (strong) coffee today, since I'm up anyway...help yerselves. (Ken? where's the Danish?--Chrissy is expecting it)

Routine visit to the opthamologist today--has been routine for the last several years, and I haven't noticed any changes. Then some groceries at Aldi's, and home. Sooner or later I will have to mow the lawn. The neighbor did his yesterday. Can't get too far behind. The price of gas is a good excuse for delay, tho! I really want to get the TT cleaned! She's leaning slightly to the left, so the black streaks are on the side away from the house, but I have to look at the other side too often when I'm proping the garden, so she's gotta have a bath.

Life for Sharon should return to normal when the daily runs to the hospital are over--Should be today. Maybe she'll be back online by tomorrow morning. The electric company should have the downed lines and a new poll up by today. Yup, normal--whatever that is. Yawl have a good day!

Envious. I've still got a year, two months and 22 days. But who's counting?

Good Morning, I can't wait for this ORF Rally  .....this is gonna be one party weekend...it has to be, when I get home, it's gonna be warp drive working on the home. Terri was looking at Real Estate mags and looked upset....I asked "Whats wrong?"....she gave me a sad look, sniffled and said "I hate it here"....thats all I had to see, I don't like it when shes upset like this, hook or crook, loss or not, this place will be ready and sold VERY QUICKLY, I can't stand her being unhappy

You guys don't understand Eric. For him to even post that, IS dancing a jig! :) That is wonderful news, Eric; what are you going to do with all that new-found time?

I would suggest a retirement party on Friday, but I'll be at the Rally......maybe Wolfie can plan a little something. :)

Going to Wal-Mart this morning, also I have to make a new appointment with the podiatrist; this heel spur is really slowing me down. Can hardly walk by nighttime, taking Advil all day and all night. It does help.

JohnM, wish we had an Aldi's in our area. Good place to shop, if they have enough people on the registers. There was one in LaPorte, IN, where I lived for twelve years.

Have a good morning, everyone; I am off to shop while I can. :)

It's a beautiful morning. Being Monday doesn't help, but still, it is a beautiful morning.

Eric; this is a good and wonderous thing. I wouldn't put too much thought into what you will be doing with all that extra time. Somehow, there still won't be enough hours in a day, but the ones that are will be a lot more enjoyable.

John; Hopefully, the sun will return for both you and Sharon. It's that time of year when things start getting better by the day, so maybe y'all can hitch a ride.

Rick; I sort of lost track, have you found your next "dream house" yet?

Well, I came very close to getting it right this morning. Rode the scooter to work again. I watched the weather all day yesterday, and decided it wasn't going to rain, but would be cool. Woke up about 20 minutes later than I had planned, but still in the "make it to work on time" envolope. Wore a heavy shirt, a rain jacket, and gloves. Got outside and said to my self. "Ken, me lad, I do believe it is a bit balmy out here today, so let's dispense with the rain jacket", to which I replied, "Well Dad, I would agree".

Five minutes into the ride, I had come to realize how stupid some people can be at 4:30 in the morning. Needless to say, It is a lot cooler at 20mph than it is standing on the patio, gulping coffee. I did however manage to survive another of my screw ups.

Yesterday, we took the car over to Krazy Kreations (I know, I called it krazy kars yesterday). They took a look at the car, gave us the quote, and it was way more than I wanted to spend, but we were so impressed with the whole operation, and the character of the people working there, that we left the car for them to prep.
They will have it for about three weeks, but Bandimere is having a number of special events this month, so we won't miss a race unless it takes three weeks and a day, which he promised it would not. (of course, car shop people have difficulty distinguishing between tomorrow, and next week).

Oh, I did stop for Danish, but needed to consume everyone of them to keep my body temp up. Real bummer, I so wanted to share with everyone.

Well I am back to work today :faint: I think everyone in the household new that.

Nicole was up till @ 1 or so ( no school today ) and the dogs must have wanted out @ 3 times. Restless night for everyone.

Well spring must be here as allergies are in full bloom. Pruning is busy this yr at work as you can see now that alot of trees did not make it over the winter. I have seen lots and I mean lots that don't even show any leaf yet while others are trying.

Rally time again  Gee does not seem that long ago. Time goes to fast.

Well have a good day everyone and Sharon hope all goes well for Toni.

now what can I find to wear that is a bit baggy ..looking through the closet

Good morning, all!

Another beautiful day   Have to get some red cedar mulch and have the gardener spread it - aka Don. My last hosta finally poked its little head up so I can see where it is. I am not a flower or plant person (black thumb,) so the fact that two I planted with my own little hands last year made it through is quite a feat.

Eric - last week! Hoo hah!!! Retirement is wonderful. Seven years ago was my big day. Early congratulations.

We'll be at the rally too - wish the weather forecast was better :(

Hope things continue to improve for Toni and Sharon. It will be good to have Toni home and Sharon can get back to normal living.

Karen, don't work too hard. :fryingpan: :fryingpan:

Have a day :)

Back at work again. :) The rear view mirror in the truck dropped off the windshield this morning, so will need to re-glue it. The radiator sprung a leak last week and had to replace it. :biting: Little distractions... So I'll eat my bowl of mangos and blueberries and pretend all is right, at least in my world.

Glad things are lookng up for Sharon, and Wolfie, you take it easy; very few things are both important and urgent. :nono: Please don't overdo.

Enjoy the day it's the only one we got.

Pat and Rick, You know I'll be thinking about all the fun you'll be having at the rally. Don't drink too much. :floorrollin: :floorrollin: :floorrollin:

Do I believe what you just said? You so wanted to share with everyone?

JohnM, thanks for making the coffee (strong), hope there's enough left for two cups.

Karen, don't overdue at work. Rest when you can.

Heather, I think it's a good thing you are taking care of the heel spur and not putting it off. I know they are painful...

Stoney, hope you had a nice weekend. Still thinking about your back porch.

Pass, good idea, pretend everything is alright.

Hugs for Sharon and Toni

Wow, hope I didn't leave anyone out.

Chrissy

LOL! Chrissy, there's the danger, when you start naming names. I ALWAYS leave someone out, then I end up pm'ing and looking like a fool. Nothing new for me.

Good to hear that Toni is out of danger and will be going home.

I am off to Wal-Mart...you know, they have very HARD floors, and miles of them. Stuff I need is scattered all over the store. But I have to go. :biting:

Heather,
I know what you mean about hard floors. Walking on those can be torture. One of the biggest reasons I retired when I did - schools are full of hard floors, being built on cement, and getting to 24 classrooms got to where it really was killing my leg by the end of a school day.

...The plan was to fix this place up, stay here 2 years to avoid Capitol Gains, and move on. Terri really seems unhappy, therefore change of plans....throw it together, git it done and out the door. Next house I garauntee will not be our "Dream House", will be another project :banghead: . We'll do OK on our sale of this place....was hoping to profit $60,000 after 2 years, but I don't think this is gonna happen now....but we'll be OK
