I've been sitting back looking at the changes recently made and see one more improvement I'd like to make.

It starts with Cafe's description: "Greetings, announcements, special occasions, and other messages." It seems obvious now, at least to me, that is where Welcomes belong--"Greetings", right. For that matter, it seems equally obvious that's where forum "announcements" belong as well, guide, changes, etc--members are posting them there and I keep moving, so why resist, right. And what more are "special occasions" than forum parties, perfect place, right.

That would leave forum Help and Technobabble in About. I've been reluctant to remove Technobabble altogether. So what I propose is to move forum Help, which is technical, right, into Technobbable and ring Technobabble back out, to the bottom alphabetically--where I wanted it in the first place.

Then Cafe will be the first thing newbies see and the first thing members will see in the morning.

Well, that's my thinking. Any objections? Any input?

So, Cafe would have 2 sub-forums? And a new description?

Technobablle moving back down seems like a fine idea--that will be found by anybody who needs it.

I would just add a thought that I'm not sure there is much need to move posts unless they are just absolutely in the wrong place. We've consolidated some to make things a little cozier. If the post is somewhere near close to belonging, why not leave it.

Welcomes would be posted in Cafe forum area, then later archived to Welcome, moved under Cafe. That's one.

Oh, the Newsletter. Missed it. Under Cafe I suppose. Thanks for catching that.

The name and description for Cafe could remain the same.

Yep, others have said Tech needs more visibility.

Hopefully this change would add enough clarity that moves would be less. We've always had trouble, though, defining forum areas and sometimes move to help define.

You're saying put all of About - other than Technobabble - as a sub-forum or three in Café?

I don't prefer sub-forums, but this looks very practical (and alphabetical--I'm on board...

That thread can be pinned in Cafe--first place people go. There's also a link up top between Portal and Registration.
