'morning Folks! Coffee's ready...strong and flavorful! I'm on my second cup already, so get it while it lasts. The sunny, warmer weather has gone south again after only a day. No snow, tho, just frost. By the time that stuff on radar starts to fall, it should be warm enough to make rain (and mud). I am really anxious to get started on outdoor stuff, but I just can't deal with sinking ankle deep (maybe I should lose a few pounds). I know we have at least one member on the injured list (hope you found something to kill the pain, Mur) If the doc can't give you something, I'm sure a forum member can recommend something that would at least take your mind of it. Southern Comfort, maybe? Hope everyone else is doing well. Yawl have a good day, John M

John; Well, I too am awake and on my second cup. It is just after 5 here in the Denver Metro area. I am getting in tune for going back to work next Monday. I will be working 4 10 hour days, so need to be on the road at 5:00 a.m. Thankfully, it is only for six months. We will be in town for the racing season anyway, and the money is good. the work is easy, and the people are nice. Right now, I am killing time playing "texas hold-em" on line while I wait for the "council of the elders" to convene. That would be all us old farts that meet for coffee each morning at 7 and carry-on like old women. Silly, but fun and I get to meet many interesting people. Well, let you go for now. Ken Gasbarri |

Up and off to work. Welcome DraginRat! Another hold 'em player; Joatman and I both play on line. Corky tried but finds it boring in comparison to the real thing. I play at PokerStars; I think Joatman plays on PartyPoker. Since the last "final" inspection of the roof, I haven't heard any more from the company other than they plan to fix the problems; at this rate I'll be paying for the reroof about the same time the roof wears out.

Welcome, DraginRat (oh, I like the name!

Another beautiful day here, welcome spring! Crocus blooming everywhere, daffodils budding. Rooster crowing, gravel trucks roaring past the house on their way to some building project. I filled the birdbath today; heard a bluebird singing next door and it looks as if we have a robin looking at some nest sites. Yup, it is here! What happened to our Pentax? I missed that I guess... Sorry, Murray.

Another beautiful day here! About 50 and SUNNY today! The robins and kildeer are out in force, along with the red wing blackbirds. All that's left is for the barn swallows to return! The chickens are enjoying spring and the warm weather, as are the geese! Greg put the battery in the 5er the other day, so the last sign that spring is actually here will be to take the 500 pounds of sand out of the bed of my truck and take the cap off! I think I'll try to convince him that has to be done this weekend. :spin: Julie |

Good morning everyone.
My weather channel site is not working at the moment so I can't brag about the beautiful morning in Gainesville. We broke a record the other night when it got down to 31 degrees. Wowzer. If I remember correctly a high of 78 today. Sunny, little humidity. Welcome DraginRat, glad you could join us for our morning cup of coffee. JohnM makes it strong (my preference) it delicious.
Will be thinking about you today Karen........... Feel better Mur. Have a great day. |

Morning! Welcome DraginRat! Always great to see a new face in here.
Rainy here today and tomorrow. Hopefully they are getting snow in the mountains, as they really need it. One has only been open 9 days. Anyway, then back into the 80's.
Hope everyone enjoys their day! |

Good morning all. Oops, I guess it is now afternoon (ever so slightly). It is 55°F here with rain and moderate winds. That didn't stop me from a late breakfast at this great little place in the village. Danish pastries of all sorts made by real live Danes. Oh yumm, but I will have to cut this out or go clothes shopping soon. The only thing that is saving me is that I have been eating in for the other meals (usually). I have about half of my Christmas and birthday shopping done for the year. Who could resist, with hundreds of little shops selling Danish everything? During the weekdays, when the tourists are not abundant, the shop owners are very happy to have a customer and go out of their way to help me find the right things and then pack them up for me so they can spend 8 or nine months in the basement of my mh. I'm glad to hear that everyone (alsmost) is enjoying great weather. Oh well, I enjoyed it while it lasted and then had to send it east. Jackie, sorry about the rain. I tried to send it north of you, but you know how uncooperative weather fronts can be. They just don't listen. Mur, sorry to hear about the fall. Anything involving the ribs can hurt a lot. When I broke a couple of ribs awhile back, people insisted on telling me jokes to cheer me up. They didn't understand how much it hurt to laugh. DraginRat, good to hear from you. Oh, by the way, be very careful if you order coffee in a Danish restaurant, if you want to get anything else done that day. It is delicious, but there is a lot of dark spiced rum in it, along with the cinnamon and cloves. "Jef vil gerne have kaffee med fløde, " will get you coffee with cream. Oh well, back to work. |
