'morning Folks!

Yup, it snowed again last night. Three inches of heavy, wet, white, back-breaking snow. Can't use a broom on this stuff, so I will do the next best thing--wait for it to melt! I'm not into that back-breaking stuff on March 25.

People are in the mood for spring anyway...another rummage sale, and something coming up next Saturday morning that involves a buffet breakfast! I will find out about that and walk to town if I have to.

Lets see, on the agenda for today was "begin raking lawn", cross that one off. Wash truck, cross that one off. Move seasoned firewood before delilvery of green for next season. Ut-oh, I can do that--it's in the garage....guess I better get to work (after breakfast).

Yawl have a good day!

Coffee's on---come and get it while it's hot!

JM

Holy crap!!!!! I am only the second one up????? That is just wrong. :faint:

Sorry JM, but no snow here!

Got to 81 yesterday, 84 today. Good thing, cuz my tan was starting to fade...........yesterday bought a new bathing suit. Three pieces! :floorrollin: Ok, it will be two at a time, but got two different tops. Ohhhhhhhhh, I'll have some tender white places to watch out for.

Nothing planned for the day, besides a short stint at the pool. I don't hang out all day, cuz, one its boring, and two I don't use suntan lotion, so only an hour or two at a time.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!!!!!!! :tiphat: :tiphat:

Hi, guys!
Jackie, that's how my pool stints go too. An hour in the morning if I'm ambitious and then two short trips again in the afternoon. I may not get there today even though the sun is out - it's downright cold right now. I have on jeans and a shirt AND a sweatshirt. However, the sun should warm things up by lunch time, although it's only due to be in the high sixties all weekend. No problem, heat comes back on Monday   Have to get one more week in. I could start organizing things for the trip and get ahead of the game a little.

We're going out for dinner with Don's parents tonight after Mass. Lunch with two couples from home on Tuesday and then dinner out again on Wednesday - we'll pack his parents' car for them. They are leaving Thursday morning.

A lot of folks getting ready to head out - the birds are flying north :) Floridians can get their roads back :floorrollin:

John, thanks for the snow update. I'll be expecting our Syracuse daughter to be a little snarly when I call ;) She'll be a little testy any way - all the sisters are in Maryland for the twins' and Connor's christenings - she couldn't make the trip since Colleen has two hospital procedures on Monday re a possible kidney problem.

Of course, the evil grandparents have missed four christenings this winter while we have basked in the sun. Do the evil grandparents care? Edit --- I should mention that our girls didn't care that we didn't come north, but the "other" grandparents have pointed out how amazed they all were we didn't come.

Have a day :)

Good morning.....No, I didn't sleep 10 hours, just got up twice this morning and went back to bed. I think the antibitic makes me tired. I'm up now, Frank made coffee...

Can't believe where the time has gone Pat. I know you and Don have had a great time, plus the weather has been wonderful. Missed 4 Christenings? I can hear the other grandparents talking about you now. :biting: :biting: :biting:

JohnM, love the way you makes lists and decide not to do them. :floorrollin: :floorrollin: :floorrollin:

Jackie, no suntan lotion? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
Have fun at the pool, we know Pat does.

No much planned today, maybe start to clean the house.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Patti, my winter clothes and summer clothes consist of jeans. Makes my life a whole lot easier. :floorrollin: :floorrollin:
Have a good time tonight.
I love Pizza Hut, don't consider it real pizza, but nonetheless enjoy it. Gives me horrendous heartburn. :fryingpan:

Jackie - you had me going with the "three-piece" bit - too early in the day to work the imagination so hard.

Ah, good pizza! Reminds me we can eat some on Good Friday in New Jersey!!! Wonderfully oily - my old home - Joisey pizza :) My oldest grandson uses a paper towel to sop up some of the oil - but he loves the pizza.
I like Pizza Hut pizza - also oily.

Back to the program already in progress...

Pizza Hut is also my favorite. If you want greasy but good.......try Uno's. I worked there briefly, but long enough to see how they prepared their pans for the pizza. :faint: :faint:

Uno's is good. We have one near us. Also - have you been to their Chicago Grill? We really like their food. It's a chain, but it's good. It's also a nice atmosphere, imho.

Back to my favorite theme of garbage :floorrollin: :floorrollin: I just saw a garbage picker at the dumpster - he took out a little ironing board. Hmmm. People are preparing to head out, so maybe there will be treasure for all. They already had their parkwide garage sale they have at the end of every season, but there wasn't anything interesting. I got an outdoor carpet here one year for $5. I still have it, but only use it on really sandy, gritty sites since it's like a rattan. Cleans easily and then rolls up.

Has anyone gathered from my ramblings I have no ambition and it's too cold for the pool? Glad it's free weekend minutes :floorrollin: :floorrollin:

Chrissy on edit - pizza, tomatoes, corn, the shore and the GSP - Garden State Parking Lot! One state where you can identify yourself by your exit. I was 135, then 136, then 131. Never strayed far from home until we came to the frozen north!!!

.....No, I didn't sleep 10 hours, just got up twice this morning and went back to bed.

Well good afternoon

Chrissy I did the same thing. I got up as I was going to go into work this morning to clear up some paper work as I will be off most of next week.

As I was about to get ready, I looked over at my sad and lonely bed. The pillows and comforter looked so empty. How could I just walk away and leave them like that. :dunno:

Ok, just for a few min then I have to finish getting ready. They welcomed me with warm comfort. 3 hours later

What an absolutely wonderful day today. I have my windows open.

Lovely spring wanna be day. 36 °F / 2 °C Overcast

The Lilacs outside my bedroom window have buds as does my Cotoneaster. Almost tent time

I see everyone is on a pizza binge today.. :kickcan: I can't have any..

Well I rented some movies so I shall go watch one.

Heather safe drive home

Karen, did you say Lilacs? My favorite flower, went all the way to New York last year to see the Lilac Festival in Rochester, New York. Remember this picture?

Yes, couldn't resist going back to bed this morning, can't believe I actually got back to sleep. 11:00 a.m. is a bit late to get up. :)
