Good Morning, Playing hooky from work today....may hit 50*
. Just trying to get the little details done around here....you know, caulking and things like that. It's almost noon, which is my first Beer break for the day, then back to business. Heather, sounds like you're having a great time in Florida, bring the mild weather, but leave the coyotes there.....have a safe trip.

*Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming- "Wow!, What a ride!" *A good friend will bail you out of Jail...A true friend will be sitting next to you saying "Boy, was that fun!" | |

It is funny the things our mothers tried to teach us when we weren't ready to listen. Today's lesson revisited was "never go grocery shopping when you are hungry." Oops. The fridge is crammed. I guess I will be eating well for a few days. Greetings from beautiful downtown Chowchilla. It is currently 59°F and getting warmer by the minute. There is a zero percent chance of rain. I like that. I still do not have a clue where we are going. I'm in the mode of, "oh, that looks like an interesting road." I am in need of a nap. I have been awake far too long. Okay, I suddenly know where I am going. I just don't know how to get there from here, LOL. I guess I will have to ask Ann. Before you jump to conclusions, Ann is the name I gave to my sometimes irritating navigation system (why did I every buy that thing?). Her full name is Miss Ann Thrope. It comes in handy sometimes when I am trying to find a particular address. Oh, and I have a new cell phone. It is funny how sales critters react when you are direct with them. "Okay, here is my account number. I am happy with my coverage and do not want to change it. I want a new phone. Can we make this happen in the next five minutes?" It is genetic, I think. They have to try. They cannot help themselves in this regard. They just have to try. As soon as they recognize that it is hopeless, they can make things happen pretty quickly, so as to move on to the next sucker (ummm customer). Actually, this sales critter really impressed me. How is this for customer service? He took my old cell phone to the back of the store, plugged it in, and transferred all of my settings and address book to the new phone. How cool is that? Okay, so it took 15 minutes instead of 5, but I am a very happy customer. No sales pitch. Nada. It must have been the stare, hee hee. Then he asked me if I wanted to donate the old phone to the non-profit organization that gives them to abused women, for their safety. I left their office with a big grin. How often does that happen? I am a very happy customer. |

Greetings from Hartwell In the fine state of Georgia. Time for laundry at the local Suds and duds. So far no critters running around. The core of engineers has outdone itself with this site. Our own outcropping in the lake surrounded on three sides with water. Trash pickup and a great park.Sewer hookups would make it paradise. We might even move down here. The people are great and it's not crowded at all. I do miss my home though. Everyone be well and take care.Y'all

WOW! I have begun following the "Adventures of Doc and Orson", based on the locales you have given us the last couple of days. I had you down for a "Mosey-along" until now - when I looked up Chowchilla, I found that you had really covered some ground yesterday! Being a Map-Freak, I can never resist getting out my Rand-McNally to follow folks' descriptions of their travels (not trying to be nosy, but that's how a guy learns about places he may want to check out himself some day
)We are beginning to add unwanted chapters to our water-bed saga, too - received the new mattress from a supplier yesterday and it's the wrong size! We have a King-size bed, and this little puppy is no bigger than a double - a good foot and a half too small! (I should have known, when I had to deal with someone in #()%^*(#)$ Kelowna BC!) The young lady was pleasant enough and apologetic, but this means another couple days waiting for the new one - fortunately, we had gone out and bought an excellent Queen air-mattress, with a built in electric pump, thinking it would be good for a spare bed or maybe use it at the lake or something. Otherwise, my wife would be getting pretty "P*ssy" about sleeping on the floor by now, understandably. ps - what a skookum air-mattress, too - heavy-duty electric air-pump that inflates it in under 2 minutes! That's right, A QUEEN-SIZE! Weather report: mostly sunny and going up into the mid-50's these days, no more sub-freezing temps overnight. |

No one did that for me when I got my new cell. Roscoe, I understand Blairsville, Georgia is a beautiful place to camp. We are hoping sometime this year to head up that way for a few days. Glad to hear you're enjoying Hartwell. Also sounds like another nice campground to visit. |

What? That information is stored on a memory chip. The telephone is just a shell. The memory chip is removed from the old telephone and put into the new. I do it between two cell phones I have. David uses the old phone when he goes somewhere cause it has a car battery charger. Then puts the chip back into my new phone for me at home. |

Well, I made it through another anniversary (22); card at sunrise, flowers before noon, and a nice dinner (with the occasional hack ) at Carabba's. I'm ready to hit the hay.
