Heather's not up yet, so I'm drinking her share of the coffee I just made. Her camper is parked close to mine on little papoose pond. She made it to Dunnellon just fine yesterday before noon & we went bassboat fishing on the Withlacoochee & Rainbow rivers; skunked on shiners, but one bass was caught as well as many rays (rays from the sun, not the sea.) We are afraid the shiners have moved to another location & have no strategy to find them; if you've got any ideas better than random searching please let me know! Rain is forecast for the day but it'll be mild. I've no good idea of what we'll do for the day. Have fun I guess... Maybe the local Thrift Shops! - (Like I need anymore stuff!) Dave |

"morning Folk, I'd rather make fresh (strong) coffee than drink something leftover from last night anyway. That beer comment was gross, until I remembered....well, never mind....it's still gross..... No snow last night, maybe the weather has taken a turn for the better! It's about time. I can no longer see the time and temp in my weather icon, since I installed software from the new ISP which is supposed to increase my browsing speed. They do it by removing some data along the way...I guess somebody thinks that time and temp isn't very important. The Catskills are known for trout first, followed by perch, so Dave and Heather are on there own where I'm concerned. Good luck anyway--I hope you catch whatever it is you're after! I'll be back later for bagels. Yesterday turned out to be another do-not-much day. Somebody called to go to lunch and shopping, and there was no sense starting the day when I got back at 4. Yawl have a good on, John

One of the nice things about setting the audio DVD on "scramble" is the surprise factor. Try not to sing along. I dare you. There it was. Remember, you are not supposed to sing along. "Who put the bomp in the bomp pa bomp ba bomp? Who put the ram in the ramma lamma ding dong? Who was that man? I'd like to shake his hand. He made my baby fall in love with me. YEAHHHH." Where the heck did that come from? I was just getting ready to go sleepies. I was teaching this silly robot to go into sleep mode. Now I am up and dancing. Now I have to teach it to dance? You should see my robots dance! This is really too funny. You know I can do it. Ladies and gentlemen, David Lindley on the guitar. "Stay, just a little bit longer." Get that one out of your head too. Jackson Browne... Oh won't you stay, just a little bit longer? Now, get this song out of your head. I dare you. Good Morning all.... |

Good morning to everyone! I am camping again, after a very comfortable and luxurious three nights at Chrissy and yes, I admit to sleeping late this morning, until six-thirty! (I think Dave didn't know I was up until after I had had my coffee, as my camper is a little distance away).A tribe of coyotes and a passell of raccoons kept me awake in the night, plus the wind came up and rattled the awning, causing me to wonder if I should get up and take it in, but fortunately it subsided. This is the most beautiful camping site in the entire world! I am right on Little Papoose Pond off the the Withlacoochee River. A pair of moor hens are paddling around in the talll reeds across the water, and yesterday a little blue heron was fishing not twenty feet from my camper. I hope to have lots of bird pictures to show when I get home. I saw so many birds yesterday; it would be hard to list then all here. I have to start home sometime tomorrow and I will be sad. I could stay here for weeks! As Pat says, have a day! |

Good morning all. Breakfast is served. Heather I knew you would be in all your glory out on the lake fishing. Do you think the coyotes know where you are, as they seem to follow you.
Have a great time today with Dave and safe trip tomorrow when you head back home.JohnM I agree about drinking old coffee, in fact if it's more than a half hour old I make a new pot. You need to get out of the cold, snowy weather in New York and pay a visit to Florida. It's going into the 30's three nights this week. Today is a little rainy, cloudy but if you visit I'll make sure the sun is out every day. Great song Doc, remember it well. Pat, no beer in the morning, Irish coffee is good. Newarts, thanks for the info. about Heather arriving. She was looking forward to this trip, can't wait to see some pictures. Unfortunately when she was here I wasn't feeling good. We didn't take her anyplace, we hung around here. I know Heather's having a great time. Someday we'll get to Dunnellon and say hello. Have a wonderful day today. ![]()

Heather, I am sad that you have to leave the beauty of FL wilderness campgrounds. I lived there in the "Forrest" for ten years and can still hear the whip-poor-wills singing in my heart. What is the name of the campground you are in? I read on RV. Net that as of April 1st.... FL will now allow pets into their state parks. That was a real bummer for me when I lived down there.Newarts, a belated welcome to this board. I have other responsibilities so am not able to check in here as often as I would like. Do you stay in Fl year round? Oh, Heather...are there fleas or those no-see-ums where you are camping? Chrissy, I hope you are feeling better!!!! Everyone have a great day!!! |

Heather, great you are finding these spots and enjoying your trip. DaveR sounds like a terrific neighbor too
Let's see looks like mid-50's best for us today. Ed is in CT on business and I have been spreading some of the mulch left from chipper in my spare time. Good exercise but don't want to overdo Good day all, Kate |

Good morning in real time
I slept until 9
No sunshine at the moment - overcast and rain predicted in the PM. Which is actually a good thing - I need to clean big time - plus we are having company for dinner. Sun comes out again tomorrow
Lots of cheering at the shuffleboard courts - I think today is a "grudge match" between two parts of this campground. I should ride over. Heather, Enjoy your final day down here and have a safe trip home. Hope you find some good camping spots along the way. Keep having a day
