Are you people still on shopping??? I've been on a bike ride, spent an hour at the pool, cleaned the house (surprise to me guests coming for drinks) and have chicken in the oven. Don is washing the roof so I am on window alert. Back to pool when chicken is done and roof is finished.

You better watch those birds Chrissy - you could be the first case of Avian flu

We had a bird trapped in school once. It was very sad. (But he was saved...our wonderful head custodian cut through a wall or something.) Anyway, this bird was flying the halls and in and out of classrooms. It was not nice weather - read very cold - so we couldn't open windows or doors. It must have come in when the kids were entering in the morning.

Hmm, 11:30AM (I think) where you are. Jammies work ;)

Chicken is done - roof not - so I'll be here for another 1/2 hour or so.

Chrissy - did Heather get there yet?

When Spring does come (officially tomorrow) the temp will shoot up to 60, and all the complaining will end. And best of all, the mud will be dried up!!

John, I don't know what you were into earlier today, but it's almost 4:00 here and I'd sure like a good shot of it in my grape juice! :tiphat:

Ok, let me fix this up....

Spring offically arrives tomorrow, but it will remain colder than the upper part of a witch's anatomy for the next few weeks, or so. But when it does get warm "the temp will shoot up to 60, and all the complaining will end. "

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go check on a post about underwear....

The "when it does get warm" is the sticking point ;) Talked to our daughter in Syracuse today and she was not too pleased about the snow they have been having and told me the paper was WRONG! about the temp (I read the local paper online and it said it was 25.)
"It's not that warm!" snarled dd.
That's our upstate mentality - 25 can actually be considered warm. It's clearly time to stop mentioning Florida weather to my friends at home. They can get testy.

Heather is here, we're eating and drinking, but she can't post, she forgot her password..

So lets look at this another way.... Heather needs to have her hands free to handle food and beverage, so she forgot her password. Is that pretty much the same thing? :dunno:

Have a good time, Heather, you seem to have a system all worked out already!

I am here, wined, dined, we even went for a walk! Don't ever let Chrissy tell you she isn't a cook! We had Cuban pork and black beans to die for!

I had a nice trip down; stayed the first night at Kiptopeke State Park in VA and the second at a little park in South Carolina; surprisingly nice for the cost. Both with hookups and good thing; in the 30's the first night and the mid forties in SC.

Not wanting to hog the puter so I will sign off now, thanks to all of you for the good wishes. I'll be briefly in touch in the next week until I get back home.
