Good morning. Woke up to a beautiful, sunny, cool day, what a pleasure.

Not too much on the agenda, cleaning, shopping and a nail appointment today.

I had a weird dream last night that I caught a hawk by it's beak. Must be thinking about the raccoons and creatures around the house lately. :screwy: :screwy: :screwy:

Doc, don't you take pictures of the beauty out there? I would love to see dawn in the desert again...someday. Until I can see it in person, pictures will have to do.

Busy today; I have a dr. app't at ten-thirty, then take my sister and nephew to the airport after lunch..then I can come home and change all the beds, wash sheets, re-make beds. Then tomorrow I load the van for a 3 am Friday departure (looks like it's gonna be in the snow..... :banghead: )

I'm quite excited already this AM and might just quit for the day.

I think I've located a useful DIY structural adhesive for polyethylene! I know this probably doesn't sound like much of a coup but I am a died-in-the-wool materials technology nerd who has been looking for a *long* time!

I've ordered a sample for testing but there's little question that it will work. It is important because it'll allow people to repair leaking RV holding tanks (along with almost everything else, including my brother-in-law's small boat!) Yay!

It is a specially formulated hot-melt glue stick made by Bostik (#6390).

It may require adjustment of gun temperature & some surface preparation but that's not much to figure out.

It is indeed a beautiful morning....

Goodness, Dave, if it is so effective, how come everyone doesn't know about it?

We will be awaiting the outcome of the tests...

I fully understand how great it is, to find something that solves a long-standing question. Now you are going to think I am being frivolous or making fun of you, but I have an analogy. After hours of scrubbing, bleaching, using stain removers to no avail, I discovered that instead of having to replace the discolored (read, ugly black!) line of sealant around the bottom of the shower stall, all I had to do was apply a Clorox pen to it. After 15 minutes, came back to find the line as white as new!

I am all for new products to make easy solutions.

This would make a good thread for H&G; favorite new products and why you like them.

Good morning! Glorious day - it smells like spring :) Not a cloud in the sky and it's snowing in Syracuse! Woke up about 8, rolled over and went back to sleep until 9!!! Haven't decided what to do yet. Some cleaning and then - who knows? Don is playing golf late so dinner will be a reheat. That means I can stay at the pool as long as I like ;) And I have a wifi signal.

Taking my in-laws to Blue Springs State Park tomorrow to see the manatees. They have never seen one and they have been coming to Florida forever. That's a nice place if you are ever around Orange City/Deland. Easy to get to.

Have a day :)

Goodmorning from Patticake...

What a lovely day today, its wonderful outside and i want to get out there
but i have too much to do inside..
my mom has been very sick, so ive been with her and cleaning her house
im about cleaned out..
If you guys dont mind please put her on your pray list, and me too, since i
could use a little lifting up..
Mom had gotten down so weak, she wasnt eating right and sleeping all the time,
the doctor took her off one of her meds and gave her a shot and she is much better now..
anyway, i put her to bed and i started cleaning her house..all my muscles are sore, because i cleaned the cabinets and i had to use a chair to climb up in, since
she didnt have a stool and couldnt use it anyway..
Anyway i cleaned for 4 hrs without stopping and i only got 3 rooms.. i really believe this gave her a lift as she had not felt like doing anything...
The doctor suggested she move to an assisted living place, but she is not considering it at all..we have some nice apartments here, but she wants to stay home, i can understand it, as i love my home too, and im really not going to push her either way, its her decision..i can put myself in her place and i definately wouldnt want to move , so please pray for us...thanks..pat

Patticake, I'll add your Mom to my prayer list. You sound like a wonderful daughter, I'm sure she appreciates all your doing for her. Don't forget to take care of yourself also, you were not feeling well for quite sometime if I remember correctly.
Nice that you understand your Mom wants to stay at home, hopefully she'll be able to do that.

Patticake, it can be hard at times but worth it for what you are doing for your Mom.

Just think how happy Mom is to have you there. Take care

Sometimes this is the best one can ask for ....Faith.

I was here before, ready to post a quick message about my new toy. I wanted to say that it eats fire, and has enough power to suck the private parts off a cat. But I figured the cat people would get an attitude, so I didn't post that. So I'll just say that it eats fire and sucks like a $10 w.....no, that won't do either. I'll just say that it's made completely of metal and aluminum, and post a pic. HERE it is! I've wanted one of these for a long time....it will really keep the dust down in the living room.
