Good evening all
Almost Tuesday here already and it’s still cold. Woke up this morning with -8 C.

This is what the experts say: Spring 'a month late'

Spring in the Netherlands this year will begin almost four weeks later than was the case in the last five years, according to Wageningen University and the Dutch Butterfly Conservation foundation. Experts based their prediction that the season will begin on 10 April on the late blooming of flowers and appearance of butterflies.

Maybe I should have a look at some Aussie webcams to give me that warm feeling?

Kees, if you want a warm and fuzzy feeling look at Florida, talk about an early spring.
Ok, so you're saying I have to wait for my favorite flowers, tulips and daffodils.......I can buy tulips at our supermarket, after a few days they droop. :fryingpan: My Dad used to grow some beauties in New York, always feel melancholy when I see them.

Glad to hear the good news, JohnM!

Thirty # is a lot to lose, and even better that you kept it off. I know how hard that is. I lost 25 two years ago and have gained about 5 back. I keep taking it off and here it comes back again.. I eat well but not TOO well; just need to exercise.

Sweets and starches are not my thing. I can live very happily on meats, fish, and vegetables. But do not take away my butter! :fryingpan:

Karen, we didn't get any on the ground where we are........but there is snow on the mountains behind us. (Makes me think I'm back in the Rockies. :floorrollin: ) Blkboots is more toward Scotsdale, so may have gotten some there.

Northern parts of AZ got more than 4 feet!!!!!! :faint: They need it tho. Prior to this storm, the mountains had the least amount of snow.........ever...........since they started keeping track of such things.

Good news, John.

Karen, I'm not surprized. I got sleet, hail, and snow in the middle of the Mohave F*cking Desert. Did I mention the thunder and lightning? You know I was outside in the rain banging in the ground spikes. Ummm, lightning in the middle of the desert and one moron and his dog were at the top of a hill in a steel mh. this is not a fun endeavor.

BTW, you would not believe how effective sleet and hail on a steel roof can be as far as putting one to sleep. The rythmn is the key. I would write a paper on it, but I keep falling asleep when that happens....
