Good morning all from sunny Holland (for how long) webcam Boys are still sleeping off their Saturday night ordeal and dw is gone to work to see if there are some baby’s needing assistance in coming to this world. Leave me with nothing else to do than setting up my new toy, a TomTom700 GPS system. And to read my daily rag. Have a nice day. |

'morning Folks! Cloudy and muddy in the north east. It did cool off to freezing around here for awhile last night, so the ground firmed up a bit. I tried to get the charger off the truck battery yesterday, and sunk 3 inches into the mud before I could get close enough. Fortunately the truck tires are on gravel and 2X12s, so no problem there. Not much going on here today....I don't even know what the forecast is, but I really don't like mud--so it will be indoor stuff, even if it doesn't rain. Coffee's ready! The new pot works fine--no garlic knots today, tho, but maybe something interesting tomorrow... Yawl have a good day, John |

Kees, how nice to hear from you! I thought of you yesterday when I saw that our snowdrops are finally blooming by the front door. Say hello to Josie from Mom and me.
Yes, Rick, showers today; I knew that would happen since I washed the van yesterday. I'm supposed to be getting Mom's car washed today but it might have to wait. I have most of the stuff I need for my trip (starting Friday) loaded into the camper; have to get the inside of the windshield and the dash cleaned. I hate dirty windows! Well, I am off to Wally World to get a whole lot of things I need (and probably, a few I don't).. Have a great morning, all. |

Good morning! Yet another gorgeous day in paradise
85. We are having two couples over for drinks and dinner about 4:30 - luckily our patio is in the shade. The air will go on in the afternoon - I'm doing a lasagna for dinner and there is cleaning to get finished. Have to start on icemaking. At the moment there is a lovely breeze. It got warm about 4AM - I came out and slept on the couch until 6 and then back to bed until 8. Lots of rigs pulling out - there were 2 rallies in here this weekend. The pool will return to the residents Mud! Our first graders used to do a wonderful song about mud, and my lab was in the first grade cluster. Sure sign of spring in the north when they sang, "Mud, mud, I love mud! I'm absolutely, positively wild about mud!! You can't go around it, you've got to go through it! Beautiful, fabuous super-duper mud!" That was the refrain. I didn't have a problem with retiring until the next spring, when they emailed me a video clip of the kids' singing - then I cried. Strangest thing. Have a day

"Pigs Fly, Valley Freezes Over" This is the headline in today's paper!!!!!!
There is SNOW on the mountain behind us. I forgot Dylan's "outside" bed out in the rain. Was gonna take the cover off to wash, and IT IS FROZEN TO THE BED PART!!! This is just wrong. :kickcan:BUT.............the sun is shining and it will rebound in a couple of days to back in the 70's, so I shouldn't be complaining. I will Heather and give our regards to your Mum, will you. Snowdrops blooming, does that mean that there’s no snow? Hi Chrissy, I haven’t been away really. Just too much going on here for the last few months’. Not many flowers here yet, weather is awful apart from today. Daffodils are still in hiding but crocuses are having a peek here and there. Remember last year, daffodils in January? Can’t wait for some warm weather. |

Kate, Great price for snow crab. I should have our freezer almost empty by then (I better have) and we could bring them to the kids. I would take about 7 pounds and will pay you then. Thank Ed for me. Do you have enough room? Only if you have room in your freezer. Thanks again Just turned the BC game on to check the score (I am on a break.) Little fighting there. BC's ahead. I always root for BC - two kids went there. I figure we paid for the uniforms, we might as well cheer for them. |
