'morning Folks!

Grab a coffee cup and have a garlic knot to go with your morning *brew*.....

Spring is finally here (it will only last for a few days, but nobody has to think about that now)! Above freezing again all night and 60's with sunshine today! The list of local activities is lenghty. For a county with 43,000 people, Delaware has it's share of things to do.

First thing this morning, I'll hit the rummage sale to benefit the Humane Society. They have a few fund-raisers every year, and they are all enjoyable. The rummage sale is one of the best! We came away with all sorts of interesting stuff last year....a cordless phone, reclining lawn chair. A "wooden thing" that holds outgoing mail that I've been looking for for years....it's usually not a *guy thing*, unless the guy happens to be into getting good stuff real cheap! Yup, that's me!

If the backyard isn't muddy when I get back, I'll roll out the scaffold and wash the TT. She needs it, so does the truck. But after the good coat of wax I put on last fall, the cleaning job shouldn't be bad at all. Awsome rules!

Yawl have a good day,

John

Good morning, John, and everyone else who happens to be up. Ah, garlic knots and coffee. The perfect start to a beautiful day!

My sister, neffie and their big dog are on their way. I made the big mistake of asking her about food; any special requests? She said yes, PLEASE, no garlic or onions; they have been overdoing it. Well, how can I cook without those? Of course, that was on my mind when I shopped yesterday, and I already had those 2 items on the list, so I thought I might as well make a statement; bought six big heads of garlic and the biggest honking onion you ever saw! it is as big as a cabbage.

I may be a bit evil but I'm not mean, I'll just show them to her.... :floorrollin:

Vacuuming today; the guest beds are all made up fresh. My other sister slept in the double guest bed one night and she couldn't understand why I would have to change the sheets; after all, it is just Suzy and they are sisters, for heaven's sake! We do not see eye to eye. I stripped the bed and in the bottom was one of her dirty socks! :faint:

No, my sister Maz and I are NOT on the same page.

Regarding garlic, socks, and bed; my SIL recently heard that to cleanse one's body of badness, one applies a thick layer of fresh crushed garlic paste to the soles of the feet, puts on socks, & goes to bed.

This drives the badness up & out your mouth as the wave of garlic advances relentlessly up thru your body I guess.

She tried it the other night. She didn't seem to be much sweeter in the AM.

I'll check with her later & get her appraisal of the results. I'm worried about getting too close to her, however I'll brave it in the name of science.

Dave

PS It is not clear to me why forcing badness & evil towards your head is a good thing; what if it all just gathers there? Maybe a better plan would be to stuff your ears full of garlic, put on earmuffs, & go to bed? That'd shove the badness down maybe...

Leaving for Red Deer in a bit. I wonder if Glenn will mind if I nap  along the way. I could not sleep last night but I sure could now. Taking a company truck so not as easy to lay ones head down.

 I got :worry: there for a min I  and you all disappeared

Have a great day everyone. Most will be sound asleep by the time I get back @ 11pm my time so see you all tomorrow

Hmmm. Garlic in your socks, garlic in your ears - I dunno, Dave, I think all this "experimenting" should wait another 3 months... until you can sleep in your tent like Wolfie!
:floorrollin:

I was going to make some dumb-founded remarks about "how THIS is what this time of day is like!" - but then I remember getting up before 7 a week or so ago, too. If this keeps up, they will be sending the guys with nets after me, and I don't mean INTERnet!!!
Well, anything is better than still being up at 3 a.m., I guess!

Heavy, heavy frost this morning.... it was clear overnight, so that's no surprise. Looks like a pretty day though; the sun has just come up over the mountains and is throwing a beautiful golden light!

Good morning, I'm a little late because I went back to bed. I woke up early, 7 a.m. and ran to my daughter's house to take the dog out. That's way too early for me to rise............

Blkboots, good news I know you need the rain, over 100 days right? I know Jackie will be happy.

Garlic on the bottom of my feet. Well now, I think I'll stick to using is for cooking, not sure the woman who does my pedicure would want them smelling like an Italian dinner. :floorrollin: :floorrollin:

JohnM, thanks for breakfast, you're so good to wake up early and cook for the forum members. :)

Happy Saturday..................

Good morning! I seem to have wandered into a gathering of garlic nuts, not knots :floorrollin: :floorrollin:

Another gorgeous day. I have to clean in between trips to the pool. Could be record breaking heat :( Luckily there is a nice breeze. I guess it's quite warm up north too. You people don't really think winter is over, do you? I have trouble believing that ;)

Have a day :)

I am :banghead:

I was vacuuming the dining room and I heard Mom hollering at me...went to see what she wanted and she ignored me, said into the phone "NOW I can hear; what were you saying?".

Am I wrong to think she could let the answering machine pick up and return the call when I am doing the work a little farther away? :biting:

Between her using the kitchen for two hours in the morning, her 3-hour naps in the morning and the afternoon, and watching TV the rest of the time, there's no good time for me to do it anymore.

You're right, Chrissy; I am ready for a vacation. Almost 24-7 for the entire fall, winter; enough already!

I think you also convinced me to go West in the summer; you're right. When will I do it, if not now? Forget the $$. I think.
