"morning Folks!

Yeah, I got up early again for once! It was just starting to get light out at 5:40, and it's still just starting to get light out at 6:15--just too many clouds out there. The seven straight days of sunshine was nice tho, and now it's time to pay for it. On the other hand, it is *warm*. Above freezing at dawn, can't complain about that.

But I will complain about something else (besides not getting all my email)! Food! Yup, I Know that food is almost as popular to discuss as drinking, but I checked in on the end of yesterday's thread before I started this one, and found this:
Quote:

I woke up wanting ice cream, but having none, settled for some M&Ms and sour cream and onion potato chips. And a beer.

Need I say more? :melodramatic:
I wouldn't mind reading about scrambled eggs and bacon at this hour, but M&M's and beer? Geez, the though of that makes my coffee taste like....well, never mind....

Now I will get on with the day....still need to finish planting seeds. Then some routine stuff, and then homemade pretzels again!! Now that's food!

Yawl have a great day!

John

John, I am always an early riser; six on the dot, summer and winter. Earlier this morning, as I have to leave by 7:10 or so to get the van down to Hammonassett Ford for spring maintenance. All done breakfast, and I fixed Mom's for her (easy; she always has cereal and fruit). I'll be gone all morning; taking a lot of reading material.

Speaking of which, everybody who loves reading about food, run right out and find a copy of Ruth Reichl's "Garlic and Sapphires". Wonderful account of her years as a food critic for the New York Times.

Gotta run; see you all this afternoon. Have a fun morning!

I am up by 6am Mountain time...not that I want to mind you :faint:

Another mild day, so there is lots of ice. They do not clean the city streets unless you are a main road or bus route. Lot's of ice out there. One has to becareful not to fall and go boom.

A coworker is leaving the company after 19 yrs, moving on. I belong to the social club so we are taking her to Moxies for lunch. Fri is the Red Deer home show. I am only doing a 9-9 on Sat now. ( plus the drive there and back ) I feel sorry for the poor guy doing it alone on Sun. Crash course in sales buddie so I guess he best pay attention on Sat.

Heather, I am so excited for you. You are going to have so much fun. I hope we can still meet up in the summer if you head out this way.

Well I have to leave early today so I made a fresh pot of coffee..yes thats it on the counter. Help yourself.I will share some breakfast too if you like so help yourself.

Good Morning...........62 degrees at the moment, sunny and warm today. Time to open the windows and smell some fresh air. :)

Thanks Karen for breakfast and the pot of coffee. :)

I bought a wicker end table at T.J.Maxx on Monday. It didn't have a glass top but I found someplace that would make one. I will pick it up later this afternoon.
Getting ready for our "Gainesville" party, need someplace to put the "goodies".

Have a great day everyone.

Well, I'm frumped out! - woke to an inch of SCHNIT on the ground - what the heck is THIS all about? One day I'm pruning and cleaning up the yard, a few days later its time to hang the Christmas decorations?

Big fat PHOOEY!

Off to an appointment in about a half-hour. I should be awake by then (I hope).

"Frumped out"... :floorrollin: That's a new one to me....I like it. Keep the schnitt to yourself; we don't want any here. There's still a lot on the ground, where the sun doesn't reach, but last night was the first in ages that the temp stayed above freezing, so we may be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

Wolfie, I HOPE I can come out this summer but all depends on the price of gas. Right now it's $2.39.9 a gallon...

Got the van done, tires rotated and all fluids and filters, safety checks etc.; took three hours and cost $401.56. :faint:

How do old people afford their cars??

I am going to put my feet up and stare at nothing for awhile.

I knew it :fryingpan: they said yesterday we were getting a cold front from BC.

When I came in this morning as I face the mountains, it was snowing up there big time. It is snowing here in the city now.

You know what they say, "shnit happens." Well someone had to say it. Okay, now that I mention it, I DO feel guilty.

See ya at 9.............

I don't think Pat and Don get up early.

Didn't Frank get up early when you were here last year?

Chrissy, I think he did, but not as early as I did!

You had set up the coffeemaker the night before and all I had to do was turn it on...good coffee!

If you forget I'll go out in the driveway and set up my outdoor kitchen for all the neighbors to see.... :fryingpan:

Heather,
Well, you might see Don and Frank, but you won't see me at six. I'll stumble down later. We aren't dressing for this, are we? I'm thinking a robe is good. You live in the woods, Chrissy. Who's going to see me on the porch?

John M,
M&Ms, potato chips and beer? What is wrong with that? At night. It would turn my stomach in the morning. John, you neglected the fact that I really wanted ice cream. I really do want ice cream. Still don't have any and I went grocery shopping today.

So where are we here? Another lovely day with wonderful weather predicted until Tuesday. When there is a 30% chance of rain. The tree pollen is a tissue magnet, I'll tell you. Achoo! Achoo! Live oaks are a big source of this and we do have one on our site. It's been worse, to be honest. Pool is a grand temperature, sun is also grand, life is good.

As to the rest - into each life some schnit must fall :) Which leads into "if the foo..." Have a night :)
