Ummm, it is pretty dark here. LOL. All you solar powered folks are snug in your jammies. I was up late working. In the middle of my late sleep, the vision of how to do my latest "project" hit me full blown and in 3D. I love when that happens. With 16 arms, the question was what to do when certain arms were idle. That is what dreams are for.

Dawn should be reaching you soon. Isn't it wonderful how that happens?

I had to give Orson a refresher course about rain in the desert. It can be blue skies and sunny, but stay out of the dry washes. If it is raining in the mountains, these soon become raging rivers for a few hours.

There is no sensation quite like that of Orson launching himself into my lap at full speed. Don't try this at home, LOL. His pet critter didn't get the message and thus was suddenly swept away. And Orson needed comforting.

Dawn will be breaking near you soon. It will take longer to get here. Take your coffee and watch it. When the sun comes up, say, "Hah! you didn't get me yet."

Enjoy your breakfast. I will either be snozzing or hard at work.

Still plenty dark here too; will be for probably another hour and a half or so. I gave up trying to get to sleep about a half-hour ago. This is a bad one. Dammit, it's been getting pretty good lately; thought I might have it licked. :biting:

Good morning!

Doc, I could have used sixteen arms when I was a young mom with four little children, two in diapers.... :redcard: .......where were you, when I needed you?

A brilliant morning here; deep blue sky and temp about 22 F. I just made an appointment for the van for a 30K mile service, Thursday at 8. That means I must leave here by seven; will be gone the whole morning probably.

The effects of the cat-scan cocktail seem to finally be abating...I didn't like myself too well last evening. :faint:

Good morning, beautiful cool morning so far. Only supposed to get into the high sixties today. We're meeting Pat and Don for dinner this evening. Yipeeeeeee

Yea Doc, I could have used a few extra arms, maybe not as many as Heather. :)
Does Orson leave the RV for long periods of time without you?

Mur, have you asked the doctor for something to help you sleep? I've been sleeping a little better now that I started walking. It will be difficult when the summer comes, but I have a treadmill in the bedroom.

Heather, glad to hear you're all flushed out.

Frank just got out of bed, time to make coffee.

Heather and Chrissy, this might have been the robot for you. Sixteen arms and 220 completed tasks per minute. Pentax, I'm sorry to hear that things are not working out for you.

False dawn has arived! The temps should be in the 70sF here today. I'm outside at 51°F with my morning coffee and back to work. I really should complain to my boss. These work hours are just ridiculous! Remind me to complain to him about that, LOL.

220 per minute might just about have taken care of it...I did get extremely fast and efficient! But they were rather complicated tasks. Just changing a dirty diaper requires ....how many separate "tasks", Doc? You're the expert!

Quick phone sneak on :) Sunny and "brisk." Quite a breeze. Tonight will be fun...five o'clock right across from Dominic's, Chrissy. That's the little kiosk that sells the drinks :spin: Have no idea what tonight's entertainment in the square is, but it's usually pretty good.
Talk about needing extra arms - I had three under three. My mother called them Irish triplets - two in diapers, and those days we used cloth diapers. What fun it was.
Have a day!

Hi, Pat! :)

Cloth diapers, yes. I never heard of disposables until Alison (about 1970). Tried them on a camping trip and they gave her such terrible diaper rash, I threw them all away.

Now you can hardly find cloth diapers, and when you do, they are the awful, scratchy birdseye, instead of the soft gauze. (I use them for washing windows).

Afternoon,

High 40's here so cool but sunny.

Cloth diapers reminds me of JG coming out of Romania...all they used over there was cloth that they tore and wrapped around kids bottoms. All adopting parents went loaded with disposables!

Have a good day all,

Kate

Well, tried again and finally slept - of course now my clock is on Tokyo time or something. Gotta get straightened around by Thurs; I have a 10 a.m. appointment.

Diapers... I guess we were "throwbacks" or something - the only time we used disposables was when we traveled somewhere, which was almost never back then. But then maybe it was the times... we weren't much different from most of our friends in that way. We kinda looked down our noses at them (disposables), 70's-style "enviro-minded" as we thought we were back then.
Things would be different NOW!!! Hahahaha.

I dont like disposable diapers..seems now the ladies never
change thier babies diapers..ive seen those diapers so heavy they
looked like they weighed a ton..
When my children were babies, both were in diapers at the
same time..I had 5 dozen diapers, and had to take them to the
laundry mat to wash, but my babies were always dry...in fact
they were so spoiled, the minute a bit of tt hit the diaper, they began
to cry..i honestly think some of these children wear the same diaper
all day long now..and you can see them on the side of the highways
where they have been thrown out, its quiet a litter problem as well
and i dont think those babies stay dry now..this is just my opinion, i havent
had small children in over 40 yrs and i might be happy to use disposable
diapers, but i dont think so...

OK, Chrissy, Pat, Frank and Don are at Dominic's getting sloshed on Margaritas or clamdiggers, and I am sitting here at the computer desk getting sloshed on an after-dinner brandy. ( If you are talking brandy, Courvoisier is the only way to go)

I am thinking of you, people!

Tomorrow is Mom's lunch with the ladies, and the day after that the van goes in for its 30K maintenance. After that, it will be just one week until I leave for Florida. I am SO ready to get out of here!

Someone please remind me, next winter when I say I don't really want to go, and come back to winter. That is sucky, but going without any vacation at all for eight months is worse! This is a 24-7 job, and I need a break!

Patti, maybe it is because you are seeing the babies in public, and they have been out for awhile. I hope the poor little things have tough skin!

I couldn't let mine go even for an hour with wet didees or their poor little bums would be so red and sore. If I thought I 'd have to be out longer than that and not be able to change them, I would slather them with Desitin. That worked well.

Okay, we are almost packed up. Actually, we have been packed for a long time. We have been waiting for two things. Orson has been working on this bone and one of my computers has been crunching on a compile. You should love this little guy.

Bob Marley is on the headphones. Trust me, when he says, "No Woman No Cry", he is not telling the truth. It is on an audio DVD and I set random.

Off we go again. Next stop is a Navajo reservation. I always teach classes there, one for the parents and one for the kids. I asked as panel of respected folks to advise me on this year's clashes. Now I'm asking you. What do I teach these kids and their parents? I'm at the big paved road now.

There is no turning back. What am I gonna say to the kids?

Tell them to find out the truth, Doc, and then, tell the truth!

There is no other way.
