:toot: :toot: :toot: Get up, get out of bed, coffee if on........I'm up and if I'm up you should be up. I promised Patticake we would have donuts this morning with coffee, but got up early enough and whipped a few things together. Unpack the suitcase, do some foodshopping it about all I want to do. Oh, I need to write my blurb for the March Newsletter. You still have time if you want to make a contribution, write a story, poem, a photograph of a flower, your garden, etc. Have a great day. |

Chrissy, it's too early to be looking at pornography....take the pastry picture away!
I sent you a pic of an orchid Ros gave me three years ago; it's blooming again. People who think they are hard to grow should think again... Dull and cold out here this morning; the snow will begin sometime this morning. I have to go down to the Country Market and get a few things...back later.

It's only just light enough to make a guess at the day's offering - looks like high overcast. EnviroCan forecast is for a mixed bag; some rain, some showers, +8c/upper 40'sf. Had a most fascinating experience this morning - up before 6:00! I'm more used to being closer to 6:00 from the OTHER end these days. But I was tired last night before 10, and thought "Oh, what the hay? Try it." By gum, if I didn't drift off in ten minutes or so! So when I woke at 5:50 today, I'd had over 7 hours and figured I might as well get up. Beat my wife up for the first time in EONS!* It should be interesting to see what the afternoon brings, though.... * up, out of BED, of course....

I'm back from shopping. It's SNOWING..... Got all the groceries put away and Mom told me, "Oh, I just made an appointment to have my hair cut, at 11:30 this morning!" I said, "Mom, WHY?!! You know it's going to snow!" She said, "Well, I don't think it'll be that bad before then..". The ground is already white. I bet by the time I go downstairs, she'll have cancelled the appointment.

Wow! Heather did a days' work already, and I'm only making my first post (did send a lot of email, tho). The snow started a little while ago--it's coming down hard and fast, but it shoud move out this afternoon. Three to 6 inches, with Delaware County getting hit hardest (again). Welp, the shovel is in the mud room, and I got the mail, so I might as well stay glued here.....no, that 's not right...I should get up and get stuff done. First thing being to sort the leftover seeds (not that kind) for spring indoor planting before time catches up with me. I shouldn't need to buy anything thiis year ('cept maybe lettuce) The seed potatoes in the basement can't wait to get outside. Most of them have pale shoots alreade. That will either make'em gorw better, or die when I plant them. Never seen them do this before. Yawl have a good day, John This post was edited to correct typos, I hope I got them all.... |

Patti is much nicer than I am....I am on Chrissy for posting that.I didn't need meat but I cannot resist that long glass showcase, when I go in the Country Market. People come from fifty miles away to shop for meat here. I got a beautiful, thick porterhouse steak... The snow is coming down hard, an inch already. I had to go out and close the shed door; it was snowing in. The chickens are all inside on their roost, glaring at me and muttering. "Make it stop! We KNOW this is all your fault!" The plows are rumbling past, and the school buses have gone by; school is out 1/2 day early. Mom cancelled her appointment. Good! Now I can cocoon.... |

Imagine, I wake up early, run to the store to buy all the ingredients, work my fingers to the bone so I can serve a fancy feast for the members of the forum. What do I get? Heather smackin' me upside the head.
